Dear Sir or Madam,

The Jesters Care for Kids Charity Drive raises money for needy children in want of shelter, schooling and/or special learning needs. Thanks to you, over 8 million Baht was raised last year and 98.5% has been distributed to children’s charities on the Eastern Seaboard and the tsunami-ravaged south in Thailand. But the kids still need our help and once again, we would like to ask you for assistance.

The good news for 2009 is that Glencore Interantional has become our first Diamond sponsor (400,000 Baht). In addition 15 Platinum Sponsors (100,000 Baht) have already joined us. This is a great start and helps us to fund projects presently in progress.

Over the last 11 years we have assisted at least 34 different organizations benefitting needy children, many of which we continue to help today. Some of our newer projects recently completed or currently underway are:

  • Ban Klong Bang Pai School in Ban Chang - construction of new kindergarten
  • Camillian Social Center in Huay Pong – cover annual cost for 2 handicapped HIV-infected children
  • Next Step Program – Our star achiever Nai Em has gone from attending the Fountain of Life Center as a child to graduating last month with an engineering degree from technical university outside Bangkok

Some of our mainstay beneficiaries that we continue to provide assistance for include:

  • Fountain of Life Center for Children - in North Pattaya, which provides identities, medical care, nutritious meals, day care and ultimately scholarships for slum children to enter government schools
  • Pattaya Redemptorist School for the Blind - provision of educational aids and diet supplements
  • Ban Jing Jai Orphanage - providing monthly food costs and ultilities for 60 plus kids in Nong Prue
  • Tsunami orphans in south - including 5-year scholarship for 14-year old boy, Nong Eckalot

Our annual family outing, the Jesters Children’s Fair will be held on Sunday, September 13th, while our Jesters Pub Night will be on the following Saturday, September 19th.
