Toothaches and Ray Guns

What a week, total chaos as ever. The weekend was made very enjoyable by visits from Richard and Maggie Waller of World of Wine fame, the whole of the Brown family this time including even Ian who was playing the doting Uncle, and bringing the Landlord his favorite magazines. Ray Matti and the rest of the victorious Malaka's and assorted others returned from Chaing Mai. Including Maurice Bromley, Max and Veronica, Dag, and Harold (Mr. Sweet Freedom) Marty, and of course Ray and Curly Wurly.

Happiness on Steak Night

Iain Corness on Monday sat down to the serious business of Car Club, so with all that we had a pretty hectic Monday. This of course was all accompanied by Johnnie Live Thailand's most famous hairdresser dashing around like a lunatic as ever, the re-emergence of Graham Watkins and Simon Quigley after the Hong Kong Sevens. Jon Fox the owner of Q Cars, and a visit from his lovely Mum. Mark (Computer Whiz) Stubbs holding fort at Nova Table while Rony Fineman pops across for a visit home to Israel. Ian (Lady Di) Harrington has as usual left his mark on the table (usually little scratch marks from his fingers as he hangs on in great guffaws of laughter). The gang at the bar has been quickly descending upon Nova Table including Graham, Joules, Steven, Rob and Wit, Denis and Lek, Nick the Chicken Eater, Stuart and Moo. It is always nice to see Amorn Malhotra, and Khun Itthiphol.

J.K with The Root

The return of Andy McTighe eager to get his hands back on the T & A Cup. Andy has also got his daughter Kim staying with him who makes a beautiful addition to the table. Simon Philbrook slunk back from him Chiang Mai Sixes and had to accept the wooden spoon from his counter parts at Jameson's. Sadistic Robert paid us a visit. Graham MacDonald has been flitting about here and there, but will soon be making a runner from Songkran. Malcolm Clare (The Root of All Evil) has been in to show off his evil powers as ever.
Mark, Rich, Geoff & Johnnie Live
Debbies, Veronica and a little bit of Max
Sadly Jameson's had to let a couple of it's favorite sons go back to work in the shape of Geoff Evans and Mark Winslade, Geoff taking with him his father George. Mike Watkins, has been leading the hoards as ever, and often been led astray by Meow, Mike and Nigel. Mike has been fantastically generous in his donations to the Jesters Charity Auction coming up in September at Jameson's. Nice to see K.C of Town and Country, Terry Schofield of North Shore Real Estate, has been in as ever this time bringing the great Steve Graham with him. Eoin and Shelley Quirke have delighted us with their company as have Jimmy Howard and Mickey Price. Stuart Daly returned in all his singing and dancing glory. The Bryant's always pop in when Rick is actually in Thailand although the pickled onions seem a bit scarce on the ground. Jason, Nui and Leo Payne are always a welcome to the company as is Rich Wibrow, who also returned from a successful Chiang Mai Sixes to enjoy a few hectic days of golf with dad Geoff. J.K and Tai were around for a few days and the consumption of Gordon's Gin hit a new all time high.

Kid & Bob win the European Cup with the help of a little Heineken

Lurch & the European Cup

Songkran is now upon once again, and if you see a fat little chap making a desperate dash to get from Jameson's to his car without getting wet please leave him be without drowning him in water and he is of a very delicate nature these days and does not want to get a cold on his chest.

We hope all is well with the Crouches in Australia and The Sly's in New Zealand.
Lee Hunter burst through the door this week in his usual bustle of energy, as did our boxing expert Sid Silk, always nice to see motorbike Shaun along with Paul and Kev. Mr. and Mrs. Monkey, David and Sylvia paid us a surprise visit and were their usual effervescent selves. The reason this week for the diary being a day late is in the title poor young Moo had to go to the dentist yesterday because of toothache and the Ray Gun bit of the title is because the Landlord had been gunned down in alcohol by the returning Ray Matti. As for the sport well I think the World Cup Cricket has gone on far too long and when you are still having to put up with games like England and Bangladesh's effort after nearly a month of cricket, well think it has gone on too long, and anyway who really cares as neither team look like making it through to the next stage, and after that game hardly deserve too. Our Boys in Blue from Reading seem to be putting up a good fight these days although all the opposition is very strong, and it is funny how they never seem to do so well in the games broadcast in Thailand.
Enough from me for this week. Kim

Ray Matti with the boys

Marty

Dag & Max

Simon Philbrook with fiancé Debbie & brother Alex with his wife Sarah & two boys Freddie & Harry

Cheers, see you at the Bar.
