Low Season, but still
High Jinx at Jameson's

The
Tri-Nations Rugby last weekend certainly lived up to exceeded
expectations with the South Africans putting up a fantastic
showing before being over hauled at the last hurdle by the Australians.
We shall wait with baited breathe for the rugby this weekend. The
Formula One Racing was also well attended on Sunday
led by Dr. Iain Corness in the main sports room. For
our full sporting schedule this week please look further on, on this page.

Saturday was
further improved by a very strong Nova Table, including
Graham MacDonald (The Font of All Knowledge), Jon Fox
the owner of Q Cars, Sam Peebles, Jimmy, Motorbike Shaun, The
Part Time, Executive, Junior, Deputy, Assistant, Trainee Manager, Lady
Di, Ian Harrington, (there is half the diary written just by
putting down Lady Di's full name, both Franks,
Mike, Jimmy Mike, Young Mike, Champagne George, Terry Schofield
of no fixed abode, Bob (Happy Birthday) of North Shore Real
Estate, Computer Mark Stubbs who is now away for a week, Ray
Matti who has gone of with Ben and Dollywood
to play Sixes Cricket, but by the time you read this
he will be back, trying desperately tottering on the edge of the barrel.
Rob and Lek, Strongman Dennis and Lek, Ian, Rony Fineman
and the whole family.
Sadly Mottman Colin Powell and sidekick Alan
have gone on back to Newcastle to try and regain some
energy after leaving behind a trail of broken hearts behind them in
Pattaya's nightlife circle.

The Fineman's drop in for their Saturday evening dinner led of course
by Rony, for all of you that think about Rony you will notice there
is no alcohol on the table therefore insuring no further upsets with
the old liver and kidney's Rony had the Fajitas which sizzled their
way to the table and were enjoyed by all

Champagne George in action, notice that George never goes it alone
taking all with him. Jason the Soothsayer had to be forcibly stopped
from adding shots of vodka to each round of Champagne, good job The
Root of All Evil or Ray Matti was not there or vodka would of been the
least of our problems
|

Here we are sitting round Nova Table celebrating
Bob of North Shore Real Estate's Birthday. From the left we have a still
relatively sober Bob, sitting next to Terry Schofield, who has the honour
of sitting next to one of the most traveled men in the world Stuart,
who has the daunting task of sitting next to Champagne George, Champagne
George is called Champagne George for that most obvious of reason's
he like to drink Champagne, and sitting next to him is the Jameson's
Soothsayer Jason Payne, who will no doubt be soothing about this particular
evening for quite sometime to come

The corner table is being well used with
more people following Rony's lead and having the Fajitas. Could become
quite a trend setter this Rony, having everybody building hotels etc!

A nice picture of George and M proving
that even the staff gets carried away with George's enthusiasm for his
main sport

A lonely Eoin
Quirke without Shelley, although the summer
influx back to England has meant plenty of e-mails
and text messages from that far off land from Lisa Lurve, Dave
Foden, Scud, Dobsy who will arrive in August Tony and
Iris Ritchie who will arrive in November,
which keeps a bit of fun in life.

Birthday Boy Bob gets stuck into the traditional
Jameson's Birthday drink 'The El Diablo' invented by one Larry Wallis
who has a lot to pay for the day we catch up with him

After lifting many things all over the world
the welcome return of the Mighty Kevin Fisher G.C. with his lovely wife
Som. Wherever Kevin goes huge great cranes are sure to rise and breweries
of the world quake. But actually more importantly always all the charities
of the area benefit all the more reason for everybody to be pleased
that Kevin Fisher is back in town

The Tiger Girl has a definite impact on the
bar, as it is Kid that is supposed to be taking the photos!!!

Bob will be very sad to see Carly and Ammi
go home in fact he had to have a couple of days to get over it all.
But although Pattaya's best barman he is quite fickle when the fairer
sex is concerned so rest assured he has recovered by now

It's Dave and Lindsay so it must be Friday
night, you must think..... Well actually no it's Thursday night. Just
to fool us all Dave and Lindsay came in on Thursday and Friday this
week throwing everybody's calendar out, hopefully they will start coming
in every day then we can go back to normal when nobody knows what day
it is

The
Bryant's are often in, but obviously spending an awful lot
of time practicing for the next Sunday afternoon of
music, fun, frivolity, magic, food, and perhaps the odd drink or two
to coincide with Landlord Kim Fletcher's Birthday,
which as Rich Wibrow pointed out will be stretched
over two days. Saturday 21st July for a few drinks
and watching the end of the Tri-Nations Rugby, and
then Sunday for a jolly up for the whole family on
Sunday 22nd of July. For full details of this please
look at the wonderful poster which young Ron Keeley
has done for us which gets it's debut this week in the diary.

Ahoy Bryant's as you can see getting them to
all look at the camera at the same time is one of life's more difficult
tasks, but then we are no David Bailey's either. In these pictures are
honoury Bryant Aimee, Carly, Paige, Abi and trying to stay cool Jake

From now on Jason will only be making up Sooth's
about Tigers and drinking Tiger ale. The fact that Jason looks more
like a Hyena than a Tiger with that hair cut has nothing to do with
it

Dennis the Strongman and the lovely Lek
imbibing at the bar after one of Dennis's workouts

The Tiger Girl meets the Adam's Family
as Lurch wants his photograph taken, it appears you can take Lurch's
photo but there is definitely no reflection in the mirror

The fat Landlord Kim Fletcher pontificates
on the upcoming result of the Tri-Nations game last Saturday poor Simon
Philbrook and Terry Schofield are nearly asleep, but The Font of All
Knowledge rally's himself by trying to make contact with the outside
world. As usual Kim was wrong in his predictions

Quite why some
of us need to stay in the bar until day break, but we seem to do it
with alarming regularity. Johnnie Live has been whizzing
about not only running around the bar, but up and down to Bangkok.
Steve Ponter is becoming more and more of a regular
visitor always full of good ideas and generosity to a tee (Literally
he gave the Landlord some golf balls last week). More
use than Harry Potter. Great e-mails from Keith
Mulholland, as well of course as a spectacular 8 rating from
John Hagan for last weeks diary. Do not forget that
we have the next musical, magical, Sunday daytime romp
coming up on the Sunday afternoon
22nd July. Most importantly is the Jesters Charity
Drive with the Fair on Sunday 9th September at the
Diana Driving Range and Resort followed by the Party
Night at good old Jameson's on Saturday 15th September. Dobsy
called during the week and will be hopefully coming to stay at Nova
Park in August so hang onto your hats.

Nice to hear from
Dave Foden this week, although as it was mainly sports
news not much of it was good from an English point
of view. If you are English these days what do you
support, cricket? Rugby? Tennis? Big Dave Hoyle is
enjoying retirement up in Bangkok immensely although
his big chair is getting a very hard work out at the corner of Nova
Table. Take good care of yourselves and see you at the bar,
Kim, Rony, and the lovely Moo.

Jimmy Howard The Pattaya Panthers Rugby Club
president and stoutest Prop forward always sits centre stage to watch
the rugby come what may, and whoah betide anybody who interrupts him

But of course at half time or even better at
full time Jimmy Howard is that most amiable of blokes and will chatter
away with anybody, here he is proving appoint by having a nice word
with the lovely Lola after the game

Geoffrey Fletcher takes a minute off from his
Carvery duties, to allow the new girls at Jameson's a chance to have
their photo taken with him. These lovely girls representing John Smith's,
Tiger beer, and Strongbow Cider have become regular visitors of Jameson's,
I am sure charmed by young Geoffrey, they will also be coming to Jameson's
on Sunday 15th July as well as on Saturday 21st July and Sunday 22nd
July to help Geoffrey's old man Landlord Kim Fletcher celebrate his
birthday

Happy Birthday "Jom" the lovely Jameson's
staff
|

The Rugby game is under way and everybody is
cheering on their favourite team except of course for Mike who sits
calmly at the end of the table reading his paper waiting for the Premiership
Football to come

Rick and Harpic ring the bell to buy all the
staff a drink and they are the most popular people in the bar. Harry
Potter could not be this popular with a wave of his wand

Now some people have a problem with the Steak
Sandwich at Jameson's, there are two major problems, one is it's too
big! Well this is easily solved by cutting it in two and sharing with
a friend, other people say it is to small, well that is also quite easy
to solve once you have finished one order another one

Of course if you have ordered your Steak Sandwich
and find it a little on the large size and which to share it with your
partner, it does not help when you find out that they have gone and
ordered Whale and Chips of the menu

Tracy Edna Fletcher has now started working
behind the bar at Jameson's, now if she could only be 10% as good as
her namesake, and Grandma Edna Fletcher we might see some real activity
behind the bar
