Kim Fletcher's famous weekly pub diaries at Jameson's started with the first publication Wednesday, January 26th, 2005.  Each Thursday night, local time, a new diary will be uploaded for your viewing pleasure.

Diary No. 98 Week of 4th December 2006 - 10th December 2006 Updated 14th December 2006

But it might as well be with all the partying going on, The Root of All Evil Malcolm Clare is at the height of his powers leaving all in his wakes as usual. Malcolm will be celebrating his own Christmas on Saturday 16th December, as unfortunately he will be at work over the Christmas period. It is like a swap we get Neil Sandilands back to defrost whilst we lose The Root. Lots of people been in giving it a party time at the pub Ian, Steve, and Maurice Brown, with Ian and Mark (Thanks for the magazines), Big Craig paid us a timely visit which was not only entertaining by long over due, needless to say the Canadian Club bottle took a real pounding. Special regards to Niel and Alice at this point. Ian Harrington or Lady Di as most of you know him has been working himself to a mere cinder these last few days as my Assistant, Junior, Trainee, Deputy Manager but I must say he keeps plugging away, and has now taken on the job of head of forestry as well. You will see what I mean if you come in over the holiday weekend. Mark Stubbs, might as well now set up a shop in the pub for computer consultancy, so many people have now got these computer phones, where will it all end I ask myself? Sid Silk came in and terrorized us once again although I think his partner Sue may well have been talked into joining the computer phone madness. Bird from the Jameson's Dilatants Cricket team wandered in and immediately became a local at Nova Table. Jack and Jin Levy were in all their full glory for Sunday lunch with Geordie Alan and their respective families.

Nova Table on Sunday

Later on Sunday
On Saturday morning we had a wonderful Christmas party for all the children from the Camillion Centre. This party was for the most part organized by Malcolm and Christina Bowden, who do so much work for charity in this town. Malcolm and Christina were of course given a lot of help by a lot of people far too many to mention, but Peter, Kevin Fisher, Santa Claus (of course) all did their bit and especially the reserve Santa Claus Ron.

Many others have come through the doors Peter with his Mum, Sam Peebles, Motor Bike Sean ready for their Christmas Party, Barry Winton, Andy McTighe, Terry Schofield of North Shore Real Estate, Simon and Debbie, Erica (who of course Craig fell in love with), Mike Watkins and the returning Nigel, Alan, Lek and Dennis, Wit and Rob, Dave Stuart (Happy Birthday), Moo, Sophie, and James. Jason, Nui and the ever growing Leo, Paul Jackson, the whole of the Franklin family.

Do not forget to book up for the Jinger Ben JIGS Golf Tournament at Eastern Star on Friday 22nd December, the most fun Pairs Scramble event of the year, for more details please look up Mike’s golf web page on this site. See you at the bar, Kim
