Rugby was fine, Cricket was great, and Reading F. C. March On

Plenty of rugby last weekend, although not much quality rugby to be honest. This weekend is the break for all the players, so perhaps they can get their collective heads together and come up with some new tactics and some new scripts. The cricket was certainly earth shattering, and all credit must go to our good friend Ian Dickson who took the text messages squarely on the jaw and responded in kind. Thanks from Nova Table to all the messages received this week especially Lisa Lurve, Dave Foden and good old Scud. As you can see Kimo and Nid Price have returned home to Wales, the photo actually makes you feel cold just looking at it. Kimo and Nid you are sorely missed around Nova Table hurry back to the warmth of the table. The same goes for Tony and Iris Ritchie, who we will all hopefully be seeing soon.

Gez, Jeremy and Niall decide that England could win another cricket game, but would rather the rugby team get some form of tactics first.

Paul Montgomery, Landlord Kim, and Ian Harrington (Lady Di) discuss the possibility of an England win at cricket.
Lots of good folk around the Nova Table this week, all of The Payne's Leo, Nui, and Jason, Jason reckons their might be change in England Football Manager soon, which could involve the dissolution of the Reading Football Club Supporters Society Division's North and South. You read it here in the Jameson's diary first! So that means if it happens in ten years time you still read it here first. Rich Wibrow, Ian Harrington doing a wonderful job as the Deputy, Assistant, Junior, Trainee, Manager of Jameson's, mind you of course he would be lost without motorcycle genius computer welding sidekick Mark Stubbs. Sid Silk going for the knock out, Graham Watkins, all of the Fineman family, Simon Quigley who was definitely here this week, Mark Coombes, Prince Malhotra, Iain and Som Corness, Woody, Steve Ponter, Ning, Simon Philbrook with the lovely Debbie Lightley, Sam Peebles with his mum and dad, and a whole big crowd that tucked into the Sunday Carvery. Terry Schofield of North Shore Real Estate. Andy McTighe has sped off to England to return as soon as possible hopefully. Kieran with his amazing disappearing beer trick, which although good is not as good as Bob's nineteen tricks. Andrew Watts, Ray Matti with the lovely Curly Wurly, and Uncle Matt paying his usual annual visit, Ray has now had to go off to the Islands to recover! The Font of All Knowledge Mr.Graham MacDonald. Richard and Maggie Waller who supply us with our new wines from World of Wines. We can now quite definitely say we have the best House wine in any pub in Pattaya. It was great to see Big Dave of Jools Bar Soi 4 in Bangkok down for a quick visit. Also down was Ken Sly always a pleasure.

Nova Table is enthralled as Pattaya Panthers Captain Mr. Eoin Quirke lays down the law to new Panther Kieran about the value of whether or not to turn up to the first training session, looking on are Debbie Lightley, Simon Philbrook (Debbie's lucky fiancé), The Landlord looking down and wondering what all this training is about, David Garred of the Dusit Fitness resort who does know the odd thing about training, well he tells us he does. The blaze of flowing hair is the lovely Shelley Quirke.

Everybody wishes The Crouch's, a speedy return from Australia. Paul Montgomery, Jeremy, Niall, David, and Gez all in for a lunch time drink and to raise a glass to Kimo and Nid.
As you can see we have made some small changes to the Specials menu. The Wednesday Steak and Mushroom Pie is an absolute better. Next week we will also have completely revamped our main menu, there are always plenty of changes for the better at Jameson's.

Denis attempts to do the old poke your eye out trick as Ian Harrington Jameson's Deputy, Trainee, Assistant, Junior Manager looks on in glee.

Saturday night early at Nova Table with Keiran, Ken Sly, who had come to town to give his ruling on the laws of Rugby Union, Landlord Kim Fletcher, The Font of All Knowledge (Mr. Graham MacDonald), and Mr. Steel Sid Silk in his usual colorful shirt to go along with his colorful stories.

Landlord Kim Fletcher, sits with David Garred and Simon Quigley at Nova Table, giving endorsements to Heineken beer, it's all work and no play you know.

Helping to keep the bar and Nova Table properly propped up are all the good folk Motorbike Shaun, DVD Paul (Spooks one of the best British T.V. series ever), Bob and Wit, Manchester United's own the superfit Denis and Lek, Welsh Graham, Graham, Joules, Colin Duggan and my mate Angie, Mark Coombes and Jeap, Happy 50th Birthday regards to John Pritchard, Fini, Flying Frog Patrick, Fredi from Bruno's, special regards to Geoff Evans and Dai Coe. Lee Hunter and Lee Hunter Senior. Watch out this weekend for the Root of All Evil Malcolm Clare, who could be throwing a surprise birthday party for himself sometime very soon. Mike Franklin has been his usual charming self and has helped us immeasurably in proofing our menu and completely re-writing our Specials letter which starts off this diary. I was quite proud of what I wrote until Mike got his hands on it and made it so much more legible. Always good fun to have the Young in the bar Stuart, Moo, Sophie, and James. I think John Hagan will have to at least give this week's notification letter a ten? Great to see the Bryant's everybody except Rick who was off in England but it was great to see Harpic, Jake, Paige, and Abby. Jacqueline and Ken, Louise from Oliver Twist's. New Zealand Patrick who kept a stiff upper lip over the cricket and is now looking forward to the World Cup. This Friday should also see the arrival of Linus Stuart which should give us a good fun week. Of course no week would be complete at the moment without a visit from the Daly's Jed, Linda, Stuart, and Ning always guaranteed to cause mass laughter throughout the bar, a delight to have in town looking after their little Stewpot. Hello to Peter Woolston.

See the rest of you at the bar, Kim, Rony, and Moo.

Front Row Seats.

The MBMG Squad taking some well earned time off to watch some rugby, this did not last long as the standard of the game determinate rapidly, and within 30 minutes were all watching Liverpool football team in the England shirt is Debbie Lightley standing in front of fiancé Simon Philbrook (start the way nature intended things Debbie) and The Font of All Knowledge Graham MacDonald.

Keiran does his no hands beer drinking trick again this time without spilling a drop.

It's Saturday night and time for some serious rugby watching seen leading the pack was of course Eoin and Shelley Quirke with Ken Sly, Mickey Price, Paul Crouch, David Garred, and Mark Coombes.

Moo Young keeps all the beautiful girls at Jameson's happy.

Landlord Kim Fletcher and The Font of All Knowledge Graham MacDonald celebrate the news of the latest Reading Football Club result, this latest win puts Reading in with a chance of avoiding relegation. Never have a team been relegated with 43 points, but of course there is always a first time. This weekend we all have the joys of Reading playing Manchester United in The F.A. Cup. (Well we have to watch something no rugby this weekend)

Colin Duggan and gang watch in disbelief as the game slips away from Wales.

The wine is out, that is The World of Wines our new wine supplier, run by Richard Waller and David (Buster) Williamson. Pictured here are Richard Waller, The Landlord Kim Fletcher, The Font of All Knowledge Graham MacDonald, and Richard’s lovely wife Maggie. As you can see plenty of The World of wines products is being put to the proper use on Nova Table.

Andrew Watts, the good looking chap in the bright red shirt holds court with Paul Crouch when the game is over.

It is Sunday afternoon and it's Peebles time, a great Sunday with Sam and the gang including Sam's Mum and Dad. Sam always knows how to throw a good party.

Chris and family enjoy Sunday lunch at Jameson's, do not forget that that there is no charge for children to eat the Carvery, as long as the parents are eating.

Colin Duggan's Table had been moved to the front row for the Ireland vs. France game.

Richard Hardy with his lovely wife after watching England's latest cricket victory. Richard was the mainstay of one of the great British Progressive/Rock bands 'Gryphon' who have been reviewed many times by Mott The Dog which can be looked up by the links on this page or go direct to www.mott-the-dog.com

Johnnie Live Thailand's most famous hairdresser has a game of all fall down with the staff, as you can see nobody had much confidence as a wide area had been cleared ready for the imminent collapse of the tower. Johnnie actually won!

We always run the Font of All Knowledge Quiz in the Jameson's diary every week, well we thought for an added bonus we would put in an extra quiz this week, this is a picture of Ray Matti with his Uncle Matt. Now all you have to do to win a prize is tell us which one is Uncle Matt and which one is Ray. (There is 30 years difference between the two of them. So you would think this would be easy but surprisingly it really ends up with a 50/50 guess) Sorry no picture of Curly Wurly this week something that will be rectified next week.

Geaordies Chris and Darren enjoy a pint (or two) at the bar at Jameson's.

Sid Silk with friends about to tuck into dinner.

Landlord Kim Fletcher with the lovely Angie, this is the real reason why Colin Duggan got moved to the best table in the house. Hard luck Colin if you want the best table again you have to bring Angie with you.
