Diary No. 99 Week of 11th December 2006 - 17th December 2006 Updated 21st December 2006

Well doesn't time fly by another Christmas is upon us Merry Christmas everybody. What a pre-Christmas wild weekend we had. The highlight being The Root of All Evil's Christmas Party on Saturday 16th. Who ever invented any port in a storm must of invented the saying for The Root's Christmas Party. When we finally shut the pub "Another Round of Ports" was still ringing in my ears. This was quickly followed by Sunday with the same usual suspects having demolished the ports, devoured Harpic's pickled onions. Now say what you will, but Harpic's pickled onions are the best in the world (No argument here). So good in fact that we managed to wrestle Simon Philbrook from his bed, and get him back in the pub. This of course led to further problems as there was only one pickled onion left and after Simon had eaten that there was only one thing left to do and that was spoof for the pickled onion juice I kid you not fully grown men spoofing for shots of Harpic's pickle juice, and very nice it was too.
Thursday saw the Cuel Christmas Bonding Party led by Sean and Sam, these boys know how to party, and certainly taught Nova Table a thing or two, as you can see from the pictures a good time was had by all. The final shooter a mix of Jack Daniels, Tequila and Pernod was the final bid.

Merry Christmas Cuel Party
Lots of faces back in the pub for Christmas far too many to mention all but Lady Di (Ian Harrington) is still doing an excellent job (none of us are quite sure what he does but he does it very well. Computer expert Mark Stubbs still dishes out good advice around the table. Rich Wibrow made sure we knew who was going to win and who wasn't in the football on Saturday, except for a slight slip up with Reading F.C. who's normal jinx of playing live on the T.V. continued, we have again partioned for no more live Reading games on Thailand's T.V.s this season so far Reading have only won a single point.

Merry Christmas from all the Kent boys

Kimo and Nid Price are here for a nice long holiday so expect everything to go mad round them, Neil Sandilands is due back from the Artic circle, it is going to be a real problem getting the beer cold enough for him now, amongst those seen at the Cuel Bonding evening were Larry, Shaun, Phil, Keith, Ron, Peter, Ian, John, Sam, Graham, Jeff, Roy, Keith, and Tommy all of whom had to pay Christmas forfeits of drinking Fernet Branca, and much worse.

Also seen around the bar were Geoff, Joules, Graham, Nick, Ian and Wee, the return of Declan and Marade, Rick, Harpic, (of the wonderful pickled onions) Jake, Paige and Abby Bryant, with the rest of the victorious Pattaya Football Club Rony and Dang Fineman, Jim, and Frances Philbrook make a very welcome addition to the Christmas festivities, along with Simon and Debbie. John, Tai, and Ice Kennedy just made it in before Graham MacDonald disappeared to Australia, I do hope that Ian and Pat Dickson will be gentle with the MacDonald's when they take them to The Boxing Day Test. But I believe it to be a forlorn hope. Dai Coe will be amongst us by the time you read this so more about Dai next week. Kevin Fisher, Dave and Darren, Johnnie Live rushing about as usual. Mike Franklin and family have spent all week and before organizing the Jinger Ben Golf Tournament which will have started our Christmas weekend.
Shelley is organizing some carol singing for Sunday afternoon, so anybody in a Christmassy mood should swing on by.
Merry Christmas Everybody. From all at Jameson's.
