A Hagan 10/10

Well last week's diary hit an all time high in the fact that it was given a 10/10 by our webmaster rating's man John Hagan, as not even the Christmas diary got such a high achievement Moo and I (Landlord Kim Fletcher) considered this a fair and party night triumph. Of course we cannot expect to achieve another 10/10, but with such a lot coming up in the next seven days it is again going to be hard not to cram it all in.
Now where do I start well of course with our dear doctor, Dr. Iain Corness is holding a book signing for his very first published book. That is right our dear friend Iain Corness has finally got a proper job and become an author. I have already been privileged to read a couple of chapters (the book is made up of about 60 short stories) and I must say I was very very impressed and it will certainly take care of my Christmas present list (mum, you now know what you are getting for Christmas). What better way to get the book than by having a quick beer with the doctor and buying his book which he will be more than happy to personally sign for you. This event is being organized by Bookazine, and will take place in the Jameson's library (where else?) between 7.00 p.m. and 8.00 p.m. on Friday 28th September. A glass of World of Wines Red, White, or Rose wine, or a glass of Heineken, or Tiger Draft, or Soft Drink will be available for book purchasers, as well as Jameson's tasty bar snacks. I can only repeat the book is very well written and extremely funny.
Later on the England Rugby team has their do or dies game against Tonga, this is actually at 2.00 a.m. on Saturday morning.
Saturday morning starts off early with the Aussie League Cup Final, which kicks off at 10.30 a.m. in the morning, I think Saturday is going to be a long sporting telly day as, later on in the day we have a full Premier league and Rugby World Cup schedule, please look at our full sports schedule for all the dates and times to make sure you do not miss out on your favorite sport or team. This again will keep us up late into the morning, always worth while if your team wins, a little sickening when you lose.

Sunday morning at 11.30 Dr. Iain Corness takes over again as the Japanese Formula One Grand Prix roars in to action, as this is the third to last race of the season the action is now really starting to hot up. The afternoon is given over to one of our spectacular, music, magic and kids afternoons, Pop's Pattaya All Stars take centre stage to play a variety of music including an amazing version of Pink Floyd's Comfortably Numb, and a wonderful version of The Wizard by Uriah Heep. Guest musicians are often involved, the crowd always presses gang Rick and Harpic to get up and give us a couple of songs, and a certain Sax player may well turn up. Most of the Jameson's regulars know Pop and his All Stars well, for those of you who have not seen them before I urge a visit to Jameson's on Sunday afternoon between 2.30 and 7.30. There are of course also two wonderful magic shows from Dr. Magic which will keep all the children old and young happy, free kids buffet, with free fizzy pop drinks (Pun intended) and play area with games, coloring competitions, and of course plenty of cartoons all supervised by the lovely Lola, which is presently good practice for her. As this draws to a close Sunday night then gives way to more World Cup Rugby and Premiership Football again please check our schedules. Pretty full list of things to do for a quiet weekend after the Jesters Charity Drive Party Night weekend eh?

Sitting in the library area and luxuriating in the lovely Jameson’s chesterfield are Paul’s family, now they will know in future how to keep an eye on him, by looking up the Jameson’s diary

The bike was kindly donated by Stuart Young of Stuart the Builder fame

Bam Bam outside Jameson’s with the huge poster advertising the book signing for his new book “Thailand through the eyes of an Ex-Pat”. The book is highly amusing and the signing takes place in the Jameson’s pub library on Friday 28th September between 7.00 p.m. – 8.00 p.m., free beer, wine, soft drinks for those purchasing the book

Reading Football Club gave it's supporters kittens again this weekend, but managed a goal in injury time to secure a much needed victory, no wonder Steve has got no hair, but it must of been nice for Peter Bevis, to have some one who smiles to go out for a drink with on Saturday night. If anyone sees Geoff Evans, please tell him that all the fantastic DVDs he made are now swirling round the whole of Pattaya. Many thanks from all. And for all of you that like to know a secret Rony Fineman is back in town. This weekend sees the return of the Frank's and hopefully The Root of all Evil, Malcolm Clare. Captain Steve Ponter will also be making an unusual weekend visit on one of his charity runs.
Big Dave Johnstone will be making a return to the pub very shortly, but first he has to finish filling the moon pool, which is proving to be quite tiresome, and very long winded! But keep it secret.
Have a very nice week everybody, and hope to see you soon up at the bar or Nova Table.
Cheers Kim, and Moo.
