Diary No. 96 Week of 20th November 2006 - 26th November 2006 Updated 30th November 2006

Yet another marvelous week in the pub. High season is definitely upon us, and the pub has been roaring full of frivolity and the sound of laughter which is quite surprising really as “The Root of All Evil” Malcolm Clare has returned from Opp North. Of course rugby dominated the weekend (sorry our planned little show had to be cancelled) with it once again being dominated by the Southern Hemisphere Teams. Lots of nice people in and around the bar including my Junior Assistant, Trainee, Deputy, Novice Manager Lady Di and his sidekick Mark Stubbs. Ray Matti, Stuart, Moo, Sophie, and Jamie, all of the Paynes, Jason, Nui, and Leo who's Grand Parents will not recognize having not seen him in 18 months except that he looks just like a little miniature Jason! Rich Wibrow and Nok, sadistic Robert looking for more people to train up to look like Ray Matti. Simon and Debbie looked very smart as they went off t the P.I.L.C Christmas Ball although they made it back for the Wales New Zealand rugby game. Mike Watkins and Cronies, Adrian, Graham, Joules and all, Geoff Evans made a brief but Mighty appearance.

The Hash House Harriers invade Nova Table

Geordies Chris and Jenny plus Darren and Poppy, Terry Schofield of North Shore Real Estate, Jonny Fox of Q Cars, Andrew Watts, Jimmy Howard, Paul Dobbs, Nova Park Big Dave is back with some lovely cheese for the Landlord, a very welcome appearance from Mosquito Bill Johnstone always a staff favorite, Bob Finch, sadly Richard and Maggie flew off into the sunset as did Iris Ritchie, and Hawkwind Mark, who only just got his DVD's back. Steve and Bill Ponter, Woody, Mike Franklin and Company, KC of Town and Country, the irrepressible Johnnie Live always bouncing round the pub, Matt the Wig, Dave Garred and Darren very happy with two Australian wins in one day. Nice to hear from Dave Foden, Eoin and Shelley Quirke, Flying Frog Patrick, Fini, Glen Tyler always a pleasure, Stuart Daly like wise with his side kick Simon in his new car the introduction of Lennie. Presiding over Nova Table as usual over the weekend was The Font of all Knowledge Graham MacDonald, our own rugby referee Ken Sly, Iain Corness, Joe and James Grunwell, stars of both the past and the present, Malcolm and Christina Bowden, John, Rob and Wit, Denis and Lek, of course Rony has been seen rushing around in a blur of energy, Sean of CUEL was round a couple of times when he could stop his motorbike long enough, Sid Silk and entourage came in and talked up this new stuff called Steel, The Quigley's Simon, Nin, and Anne, Graham (Superman) Watkins and his lovely wife Ung, "Yakee Dar".

I wonder what John Hagan will think of this weeks diary, a seven maybe? Dave Davey decided that one day cricket was enough and did not return until the rugby, and got let down again.

This Sunday, Jameson's will be having it's monthly Magic Show starting at 3 o’clock on 3rd of December. Hopefully some of this magic will have rubbed off beforehand on The English Cricket team in Australia, after and during the last teat match Ian Dickson's fingers, must of got sore letting us know exactly what was going on whilst we were watching it. The next Test Match between Australia and England starts on Friday 1st December and Jameson's will open at 7 o’clock in the morning so that we can all watch every ball bowled (well for as long as it lasts). Talking of sport how about little ole Reading, “The Mighty Reading Football Club” Delirious seems were seen in the pub on Saturday night, when the results were seen. Well actually Reading Football Club Supporters Pattaya Division South (Graham MacDonald) bought Reading Supporters Club North (the rest of us) another round of drinks, and Steve does not know it yet but he bought another round of drinks for Bob and Kid. If Reading keep on winning like this Steve will not be able to afford to come back for the re-match at golf between The Good Guys (Steve and Pete) and The Bad Guys (The Landlord and Simon) which last time was won by The Bad Guys in case you were in any doubt. The Christmas decorations go up this week, and that is when the party really starts.
Received a lovely note from Val, Bryan, Jo, Paul, Nikki, and Jay, after their double celebrations in Jameson's last week, Thanks very much guys. See you at the bar, Kim
