- 9th August 2009 Updated 13th August 2009
Jesters
Care4Kids Fair four weeks away
Doesn't
the time come round quickly, in just four weeks time we will
have the 12th Jesters Care4Kids Charity Fair at the
Diana Driving Range and Resort starting at 10.00 a.m. on Sunday
13th September. This year is going to be a tremendous
Fair with everybody putting even more effort into making
sure it is bigger and better than last year. Woody,
Kevin Mitch, Wild Bill are all working themselves into
a frenzy whilst Captain Steve (Jesters Care4Kids) Ponter
turns Concert Promoter for the day bringing
three acts from Grammy TV down to the
Fair. All of whom you can see and read about on this
page. Meanwhile Judi and I are desperate for
you to give us your Used Books for the Jameson's Used
Book Stall, so any of you out there that have got any
books to spare now is the time to bring them into Jameson's
or you can drop them off at the Pattaya Mail office,
or Tropical Bert's, or Tahitian Queen on the Beach Road.
We have already received some books for which we are very grateful,
but to make a really good day of it we do need some more, so
have a look on those dusty shelves, and see what you can find. The Auction site is now a buzz with activity,
lots of new auction items to choose from, and lots of new bids
coming in every day. Click on the flashing logo on the side
of this page to have a good look. You may well be surprised.
The climax of the Grand Raffle and the Jesters Care4Kids
Charity Drive Auction will be on Saturday the
19th September on Party Night at Jameson's. Where Deborah
Philbrook will collapse after all the hard work she
has put in getting everything organized. A Very Big
Thank you to Michael Thomas from The Regents
School for the books for the Jameson’s
Used Book Stall.

Don't forget this week it is also the start of the Premiership
English Football Season. Every game shown live on the
Jameson's TV screens.
Sensational News from the Annual Jackalope Golf Tournament.
Besides all the usual jolly japes that go on at the Jackalope.
There were some extra events this year that should be worth a
mention. Firstly Mark Gorda won the 50/50 draw
which was worth over a Hundred Thousand Baht,
and then calmly turned around and donated the whole of his prize
back to Charity. I for one will buy Gordaa large green Label Johnnie Walker
Whisky when he next walks through the door of Jameson's.
The other news is the one thing that people have always said was
impossible the world famous Dream Team won the
Jackalope Golf Tournament. The Dream Team
are now the proud Champions of the Jackalope Golf Tournament
2009.
An incredible feat by an incredible body of men. My heart felt
congratulations go out to Captain Jack Levy, his Right
Hand Man Ernie Bakke, Side Kick Dan Dorothy who I am
sure will give this headline news in the Pattaya Mail
(You wait till Golf Monthly comes out)
and A.N. Other who played in the Dream Team last Friday.
Congratulations Jack well done.
Enough from me this week. Have a good week everybody, and don't
forget the Jesters Care4Kids Charity Drive 2009
just four weeks away on Sunday 13th September 2009 starting
at 10.a.m. at the Diana Driving Range and Resort.

it was decided that the Team England required to retain the
Ashes was ------ Straus (Capt) Trescohick, Cook, Bell, Trott,
Rampakesh, Prior, Flintoff, Broad, Swann, and Onions. We shall
now see what the actual selectors do. Don't forget we were picking
a one ff test team to win one match

Kim Fletcher and Jameson's thoughts
turn to the Jesters Care4Kids Charity Drive 2009
The Jesters Care4Kids Charity
Drive is coming up very quickly. Let me just remind you of the
dates for the main events on Sunday 13th September 2009 is the
Jesters Care4Kids Charity Fair at the Diana Driving Range and
Resort, which this year looks like it is going to be even bigger
and better this year than last (if that is possible). Kevin Mitch
once again stepping into the breach, and doing all the organization
in his usual brilliant military precision style. Now whilst talking
about the Fair can I also remind everybody that Jameson's amongst
other things, has a Used Book Stall at the Fair run by Judi McNamara.
The Used Book Stall is always great fun and also raises a nice
lot of money for the kids. It is simple logic. (A) You kindly
donate to us all your old used books, which can be dropped off
at Jameson's or TQ any time, the earlier the better so we can
get them sorted. (B) You come to the Fair, and then buy a lot
of good books at a cheap price, come early for the best selection.
(C) We give all the money we raise to Kevin who hands it on to
the Care4Kids Charity Drive. Easy.
The next event after the Fair is the Jesters Care4Kids Charity
Party Night at Jameson's on Saturday 19th September 2009 which
will feature Paul Jackson as our compeer, Music from Mike Gerrard,
Rick and Harpic Bryant, and to bring us all to a Rockin' close
Pop's Pattaya All Stars and assorted guests. On that night there
will also be the arrival of Eric and Robert from their marathon
Charity Bike Ride always an amazing feat of endurance, the climax
to the Raffle and the fantastic Jesters Care4Kids Charity Auction.
The Auction Site is up and running, with lots of good things up
there already, all you have to do is click on the link on the
left hand side of this page and you will be whisked into Ron Keeley
of World of Wine Auction Site, there is plenty to look at and
you might even fancy putting a bid in yourself. Plenty already
have.
There are plenty of ways of helping the Jesters Care4Kids Charity
Drive 2009, Obviously by coming to the Fair, and the Party Night,
making bids on the Auction Site, buying Raffle Tickets, buying
T-Shirts, taking a Bumper Sticker for your car, taking and reading
one of our brochures and showing them to other people (all available
at Jameson's or TQ). If you would like to know some more right
now please click on the link on the right hand side of the page
for the Jesters Care4Kids and you will go on a journey to see
all about us the website. It is regularly updated and is run by
our Chairman, Lewis (Woody) Underwood, and our Webmaster David
Smith, a very good Charity, run by some wonderful people, to help
those less fortunate than others.
