Fabulous
week at Jameson's loads of unexpected action.
The power outage on Saturday afternoon which
could of been awful was actually great fun, with Louisa
and Lennie leading the way. No power not only means
no light or Telly, but of course no fans, or precious air conditioning.
Most customers would of left but not the Jameson's
crowd, the longer the lights were out the more determined the
folks were to see it out. The obvious way of keeping cool was
to drink nice cold beers, and in some peoples case vodka. (Drinking
iced vodka became quite a trick as the ice melted nearly as
fast as you could put it in the glass. But we managed). Anyway
a big Thank you to all for tremendous team spirit and fun. Might
turn the electric off on purpose next week.
Heard from Mottman Colin Powell this week who
has been drinking with Blue Derek down the
Toon in England Colin arrives in 7 weeks and
is counting the days. Iris and Tony Ritchie
also leave about the same time.
The pub has been humming all week, with Iain Corness
leading the way early on Sunday for the Grand
Prix. Do not forget the next Grand Prix
in the Formula One Season is at 2.00
p.m. on Sunday 19th October, and you know that if Iain
Corness is sitting in the Jameson's sports
room in front of the giant big screen then you are in the right
place to watch the race. Please read the Pattaya Mail
at www.pattayamail.com the racing column for Iain's
views on last weeks race, and his thoughts on the upcoming race.
For all other sports events over the week to be shown on the
Telly please look up our sports schedule. Humming around in the bar have been of course
The Font of All Knowledge, Graham MacDonald, Dez, Eye
Eye Paul, Young Steve, Derek, Big John, Rick and Harpic of Von
Bryant family fame, Mike Franklin (for just one glass
of wine, honest Doc.), Rony Fineman
and Family who had their Premier of the new movie which
the Landlord is punching himself for not being
able to attend. Simon and Debbie, Stuart and Moo, Anthony,
Brian and Lee Abbott with daughter Donna, and the mysterious
Stuart Black! Norwegian Bjorn. Johny
Live who somehow for another week has escaped the Jameson's
camera, The Mighty Sam Peebles was in at the
beginning of the week but then whisked away, Shaun,
and Bryan, Captain Steve Ponter whisked in in-between
trips to South Africa. Mickey (The
T-Shirt) Price, Steve Hogi, David Dobbs has sadly followed
Paul Dobbs back to work, Jason Payne,
Ron Keeley, The Magnificent Ian (Lady Di) Harrington, Jim and
Jennie Howard, Eoin and Shelley Quirke, Vince, Paul, Matt the
Wig, Kevin Fisher, The always cheerful Muffy, Neil Sandilands
is back, the now happily married Paul and Keaw Strachan,
being married is obviously very good for Paul
as the latest programs on PMTV have all been
excellent. For those of you that don't get PMTV
to your homes you can always look it up on www.youtube.com and
just type in Pattaya Mail or even better
Jameson's Pattaya Mail, whilst on Youtube
and you want to watch/listen to some stunning Rock 'n' Roll
just type in the words Nutz/Rage for some great
songs from our friends Nutz.
Only a short diary this week, as one has been a little under
the weather, but normal service has now been resumed, and the
Landlord is back in the thick of things. Have a good
week everybody, and I promise a good long diary next week, Kim.

Stuart, who flew all the way to
Thailand in the hope of either having a drink with Brian Abbott
or watching Scotland on the Telly, and took the better option
of having a drink with our football Captain, with Donna, Lee
Abbott, and the man himself Brian Abbott
All these photos were taken in the
dark, and not only the dark, but in the heat too. As last Saturday
afternoon we had a power voyage due to heavy rain, and with
no air conditioning, Jameson's does get a might hot, but these
guys led by Stuart Daly, Lennie and Louisa, would not be moved
and the real feeling of team spirit came out, as the obvious
solution was to drink our way out of the situation. Which was
a great idea, when we thought the power would come back quickly,
but three hours later we were all still going strong in the
heat and the dark did not really matter anymore
Happy Staff
Cheers,
see you at the Bar Kim
