Sam
Wilson's Day
A truly historic week at
Jameson's Pattaya this week. The biggest event
of course was the first major Jesters Care4Kids Charity
Drive event of the year, what made the event even better
was that it was done in conjunction with the wonderful P.I.L.C
who turned out in force to support Sam Wilson,
who is suffering from Alopecia, but being a brave and smart
girl she decided to get it over with in one fail swoop and had
a sponsored head shave in Jameson's on Monday
night. Well the pub was packed out and everybody donated
generously. Lovely people from the P.I.L.C., The Jesters,
Iain Corness's Car Club, The Pattaya Panthers and Panties,
the guys and girls from Woodgate who got the
ball rolling, The Pattaya City Football Club,
and of course the Jameson's regulars. By the
time it was all over 60,000 baht plus had been raised, with
more events to follow. Mike Franklin did a
wonderful job for Pattaya Mail, to read Mike's
report either look up our internal link on the left hand side
of the page or look up the Pattaya Mail at
www.pattayamail.com
with special thanks to the Pattaya Mail T.V crew,
Tony Malhotra and Paul Strachan. Woody came
down which is a great rarity for him to be down on a Monday
exclusively a family day for the Underwood's. Muffy,
Kathleen and Ingrid did a fantastic job of collecting
the money for the sponsorship on the night. Johny Live
stepped up to the mark to do the actual head shaving
which he did with his usual professionalism. Neil Sandilands
deserves a special mention for the highest individual sponsorship
of 5,000 baht although the P.I.L.C did match
that amount. A special thanks also to Moo for
taking care of the money, a job not to be entrusted to the Landlord.
Whilst Wanchai did a great job on making sure
all the electrics worked. When the job was done I must say that
Sam looked extremely cute, and was finally
whisked away with indecent haste by husband Keith.
Mike had a wonderful Birthday Party in Jameson's on Monday
10th March. A very popular boy is our Mike
Linus and Kim share a drink
The Car Club sit down for a drink on
Monday sadly Dr. Iain Corness was not able to join them, but
will be back on his perch for the big Race on Sunday
Mr. T.V himself Peter Smith with his
beautiful wife Gypsy (the best Taxi Service in Pattaya) with
the Fat Landlord Kim Fletcher
Telephoning the good news
After
this we all then romped into The St. Patrick's Day
party this was organized completely by Moo, Wanchai, and
everybody's favorite Bar Manager Bob, this was because
the Fat Landlord was not keen as there are now
so many Irish Pub's in Pattaya, that it rather
waters down the impact. How wrong I was again as we had a riotous
party. As you can see all the staff looked quite magnificent in
their different shades of green, and the beer flowed all night
long taking part were Patrick from Ireland, Shaun, Geoff
Evans, and Malee, giving bottled Heineken a
good kickin' Terry of No Fixed Abode, George, Budgie,
Stuart, Steve Graham the Mighty Sam Peebles, Alan and Debbie,
Johny Live, Young Steve and his Dad, Young Paul, Ian, Ashley,
the returning Welsh Mike John Jimmy's brother, Jimmy Mike who
was as surprised as anyone when England won a
cricket match. Reading were of course robbed
and lost by the odd (very odd) goal again. Brian Abbott
the Jameson's famous Football Captain and Coach, Bryant's all
Rick, Harpic, Jake, Paige and Abi, Graham MacDonald,
as ever a great joy to see J.K, and Tai (even
if it does mean a monumental hangover the next day), the return
of Steve Fraser and mate Jimmy, Paul Wilkinson of
the wonderful Four Winds Jon Fox, Keeleys all
of World of Wines Ron, Weaw and James. Graham Watkins, Debbie
of Nosh fame, Flying Frog Patrick, The Quirke's all, Philbrook's
all Simon and Debbie plus the returning Jim and Frances. The Payne's
Jason, Nui, and Leo, Finemans all led by Rony
and Dang, The Young's Stuart, Moo, Sophie and James, Linus
sadly was not there as he has taken his towel back to England
for a while.
Have you ever seen such happy people
at Nova Table? This is a divorce party, the Champagne was brought
out, and all celebrated, Mark, George, Stuart, even the staff
joined in Wee and Ole', Budgie, Bob The Builder Stuart, and
the Fat Landlord Kim Fletcher
Stuart helps out Budgie to promote

with in the middle Graham Macdonald, 'The Font of All Knowledge'
who is checking his glasses to check that the Italy vs. Scotland
score is correct
On Saturday
saw the debut of the new Jameson's big screen
T.V supplied by Wanchai for the final round
of the Six Nations Rugby tournament, to the
great delight of the Panthers and Jim Howard, Mickey
Price and Joe Grunwell in particular, this was a great
success, and has dragged Jameson's kicking
and screaming into the 21st Century. The big
screen will now be brought down for all major sporting events
such as the full Premiership Football program
this weekend and the Formula One Grand Prix from
Malaysia at 2.00 p.m. on Sunday where
Dr. Iain Corness has already booked front row seats
for his car club. Watch out for the Jesters
in the crowd, as they are making a rip down. Mike Axford has come back to see us bringing
the beautiful Kelly with him, he also brought
a fully signed Manchester United Football to
be auctioned off at this year's Jesters care4Kids Charity
Auction which will be held on the Jesters Party
Night at Jameson's Pattaya on Saturday 20th September,
