Diary No. 231 Week of 10th August
2009 - 16th August 2009 Updated 20th August 2009
The
Jesters Care4Kids Fair less than a month away
The
Jesters Care4Kids Charity Drive Fair is nearly upon
us. The Fair will as usual be held at the
Diana Driving Range and Resort on Sunday 13th September.
Jameson's Used Book Stall will be lined up
with Tropical Bert's British Legion Stall, The Auction
Stall, and The Raffle Prize Stall. Most of the
Auction items will be on display at the Fair,
but for a good look now please click on the link for the
Auction (the one with all of Ron's
flashing lights) and see what's up for Auction.
There really are quite a wondrous array of wonderful items up
for grabs. My personnel favourites being the Signed
Chickenfoot C.D or the Signed Jeff Beck C.Dwhich is signed tothe Jesters 2009. For
Football Fans there is a Signed Pele
Football, plus Care4Kids T-Shirts signed to the Jesters by Alan
Shearer. There's also a Signed Count Basie
Album, and some wonderful Furniture. Have a look even
if it's just for fun. Judi McNamara (now she
has been relieved of House Sitting for Rick and Harpic).
Will as usual be running the Used Book Stall,
and we are still desperately looking out for books. So if you
have any books at home that you really no longer require, please
bring them on down for us, so we can sell them at the
Fair, and make much needed money for the kids. The
Used Book Stall is a wonderful way to make money, as
it is so simple. You give us the books, we sell them, and then
we give the money to the children. End result is you have some
nice empty shelves, we have a nice busy day selling the books,
and then the kids get all the proceeds. On the day of
the Fair we also of course make everybody welcome to
come and have look around at the Raffle prizes, Auction
items or just drop by and have a chat with the
Chaps from the British Legion. An added bonus for that
day is that Mr. Geoffrey Evans will be flying
in to see us and work (well drink Heineken)
all day long at the Stall. Don't forget if
you are a serious book buyer to come early to get your pick
of the books. Of course Young Moo and the rest of the
Jameson's Girls will all be on hand if you wish to
see somebody nice, or somebody sensible to talk to.
Bob will have his picture taken wherever he can
Brandy and Port all round. Bjorn assures us that this is good
for us, and who are J.J, Alice and Kim to say NO?
A quick drink for Mad
Captain Steve brings us in Tata Young's Stage Costume from her
latest tour. This is the actual dress she wore on the tour,
and is accompanied by a Poster signed by Tata Young with her
in the dress. As you can see Bob was most impressed. This lovely
dress and accompanying items will be auctioned on Saturday 19th
September on The Care4Kids Jesters Party Night at Jameson's.
It is also of course up on our Auction site on this page

Captain Steve got the feel of things this week
by going up to the big city to see Mama Mia (we'll
do better than that lot at the Fair) and then
Captain Steve has also decided to join the
Pilgrimage to Hammersmith to go and see Mott
The Hoople in October. Red Carpets will
be lined up as far as the eye can see.
This weekend there is so much sport on the telly, you will not
know which way to look, Rugby, Formula One, a
full schedule of Football, and if England
hold out there might still even be some cricket on. Saturday
night will no doubt be dominated by the Pattaya
Panthers watching Rugby, and then Sunday,
will see Dr. Iain take charge of the sports room,
as Formula One takes over. Sadly Malcolm
Clare 'The Root of All Evil' will be then rushing about
in India trying to find a screen to look at,
whist us lucky ones can sit in Jameson's and
get a crick in the neck watching all the different sports all
at the same time. Please look up our sports schedule on our sports
page for all the details. Well That's it for me this week, busy
week what with all the comings and goings. See you at the
Pub soon, Kim, Rony and Moo.

turn to the Jesters Care4Kids Charity Drive 2009
The Jesters Care4Kids Charity
Drive is coming up very quickly. Let me just remind you of the
dates for the main events on Sunday 13th September 2009 is the
Jesters Care4Kids Charity Fair at the Diana Driving Range and
Resort, which this year looks like it is going to be even bigger
and better this year than last (if that is possible). Kevin Mitch
once again stepping into the breach, and doing all the organization
in his usual brilliant military precision style. Now whilst talking
about the Fair can I also remind everybody that Jameson's amongst
other things, has a Used Book Stall at the Fair run by Judi McNamara.
The Used Book Stall is always great fun and also raises a nice
lot of money for the kids. It is simple logic. (A) You kindly
donate to us all your old used books, which can be dropped off
at Jameson's or TQ any time, the earlier the better so we can
get them sorted. (B) You come to the Fair, and then buy a lot
of good books at a cheap price, come early for the best selection.
(C) We give all the money we raise to Kevin who hands it on to
the Care4Kids Charity Drive. Easy.
The next event after the Fair is the Jesters Care4Kids Charity
Party Night at Jameson's on Saturday 19th September 2009 which
will feature Paul Jackson as our compeer, Music from Mike Gerrard,
Rick and Harpic Bryant, and to bring us all to a Rockin' close
Pop's Pattaya All Stars and assorted guests. On that night there
will also be the arrival of Eric and Robert from their marathon
Charity Bike Ride always an amazing feat of endurance, the climax
to the Raffle and the fantastic Jesters Care4Kids Charity Auction.
The Auction Site is up and running, with lots of good things up
there already, all you have to do is click on the link on the
left hand side of this page and you will be whisked into Ron Keeley
of World of Wine Auction Site, there is plenty to look at and
you might even fancy putting a bid in yourself. Plenty already
have.
There are plenty of ways of helping the Jesters Care4Kids Charity
Drive 2009, Obviously by coming to the Fair, and the Party Night,
making bids on the Auction Site, buying Raffle Tickets, buying
T-Shirts, taking a Bumper Sticker for your car, taking and reading
one of our brochures and showing them to other people (all available
at Jameson's or TQ). If you would like to know some more right
now please click on the link on the right hand side of the page
for the Jesters Care4Kids and you will go on a journey to see
all about us the website. It is regularly updated and is run by
our Chairman, Lewis (Woody) Underwood, and our Webmaster David
Smith, a very good Charity, run by some wonderful people, to help
those less fortunate than others.
