Speed Ahead
Well it's
crazy time again, and it's all happening at Jameson's,
only a short diary this week I shall have to let the photos
speak for themselves. But Malcolm Clare has
been in the action all the time, making the staff repeatedly
collapsible. Big Dave Beckett, need, I say
more? The whole of the Youth Policy. Young
Steve having his Dad here
Billy has not slowed him down at all. The Hash
House Harrier runners, led by Jimmy (Spaghetti
Head) and the Black Sheep led by Patrick,
had a riotous night in Jameson's on Monday. Brian Abbott,
and Dobsy have sailed off to cause more capers in the
Philippines but will be back for the Hatton
fight on Friday. David Dobbs
has arrived as a last minute replacement, but we will be double
Dobbsed by Sunday. The Mighty Sam Peebles has
cleared off for a couple of weeks but will be back before Christmas.
Cousin Paul sits at the back and has a laugh. Good
to see the whole Coombes family in, making
it a brilliant Sunday night. Young Paul, Welsh Mike,
Ian Harrington of Lady Di fame. Graham MacDonald (The Font of
All Knowledge), Dennis and Lek, Geoff Evans gave the
Heineken sales a good nudge, and put a smile,
on everybody's faces. Eoin and Shelley Quirke, The Von
Bryant's Rick and Harpic. Looking forward to the arrival
of Colin Powell and crew.
The whole World goes sport crazy on the weekend with Boxing,
Cricket, loads of Rugby, and Football. Whatever happens
Wanchai will find a screen for you to watch whatever
your favorite sport is. Please look up our ports schedule for
a complete run down of everything.

Wednesday night this
week was a really good classic Jameson's night,
The Youth Policy at the bar, awaiting the arrival
of Colin Powell, first Kobi and crew
and then Peter Mack in the library area, lot
of action around our new pool tables, The Steak and
Mushroom Pie sales were very good, this is a special
that I don't see coming off the menu. A rousing send off for
the boys going to play Footie in the Philippines, Captain
Brian Abbott, and his side kick Paul Dobbs,
(up the Boro) a riotous Nova Table
led of course by Malcolm Clare "The Root of All
Evil" who has now got such a reputation with the
staff, that they pull straws to see who serves him, and the
shortest has to serve Malcolm, and then comes
to the Landlord wanting higher insurance against
Port. Judi McNamara, who is taking
the Landlord to BKK on Monday to do
terrible things to him (a subject for next week’s diary).
Shelley in amazing form, the first true night
of getting round the table with Iris and Tony
(years worth of Coronation Street on DVD!!!!!!!!!!).
That should keep the Landlord off the streets
for a while, with Harpic hounding his every
watching step, waiting to get hold of them. The
amazing Paul Strachan a Journalist of great
wit and talent plus a great sense of humor, Graham Watkins,
The Romantic Derek, the always enthusiastic Ron
Keeley of the wonderful WOW, World of Wines,
without doubt the best wine supplier in Thailand,
have a look at our wine list on this page for proof, Bouncer
Geoff Evans and entourage. Do not know what time the
Landlord left that will be forever hidden in the mist's
of time
A huge Thank you to Stu and the Centurions Singapore
Golf Society for their lovely e-mail, and the same
to good old Dennis Collard of the unsinkable Unquenchables,
both of whom we hope to see sooner rather than later.
As ever love to Lisa Lurve. Kim
This is the most brilliant piece of journalism
I have ever seen, taken from Rony's 'Minus Five Bar'
on Halloween (although Paul Strachan
being the nice guy he is gets Jameson's a mention
at the beginning). The people on camera are either really unhelpful
or completely trolleyed, but our intrepid reporter has a program
to put out, and no matter what obstacles are put in his way,
he is going to get a program. Marvelous stuff, I nearly cried
when I first watched it. Ladies and Gentleman Strachan
at his best.
