Diary No. 249 Week of 11th January
2010 - 17th January 2010 Updated 21st January 2010
New
Menu 2010
The
new Jameson's Pattaya menu is now in full swing with
more than a little help from Matt and Charlie from Asia
West.
Of course this weekend sees a big swing away from Tradition as
well with no more Saturday Carverys, The Carvery
will now be put on exclusively on Sunday from 1.00 p.m.
until 11.00 p.m. It will naturally be an enlarged and
more adventurous Carvery in the Sunday
Carvery with over the weeks more and more different items
appearing on the Carvery like Roasted
Pork Ribs, Duck, lots more Seafood and even Pies. It
will remain all you can eat at 395 Baht.
On Saturdays starting this Saturday the
23rd January we will be serving an all you can eat Saturday
Curry Buffet we had a practice run on Tuesday
actually a bit of a way for Geoff to get over
his depression of the Cricket score. The
Curry Buffet will include at least 9 Curries
(roughly 3 Indian Curries, 3 European Curries, and Three Thai
Curries with Three different sorts of Rice, then there
will be all the usual accompaniments that you expect with a
Curry Night, Salads, Pappadam, Samosas, Nan Breads, Chapatti’s
etc. With additions like Raisins, Boiled Eggs, Onions,
Yogurts, etc). Again as much as you can eat from
5.00 p.m. Saturday 23rd January for 395 Baht a head.
Football, Rugby and Curries goes together naturally
doesn't it.
With this New Menu taking place and more changes
to come things are moving along nice at Jameson's.

Now
before I go any further. Will Iris Ritchie please
ring me again. Iris and I are having terrible
difficulty getting together (It's one of those long distance romances!!!!!)
But last week Iris rang me and I said I would
ring here back, on that number, but of course my phone would not
save Iris's number from the U.K.
So when I tried to ring her back it gave me some number in Bangkok.
Anyway Iris I have booked you a room, but somehow we must set
up communications, E-mails don't work, Smoke Signals have been
blown away. Iris are you on Face book???? Stephen Page's friend Terry has arrived for a
few days, turning the Dynamic Duo of Pagey and RayC
into the Terrible Trio, Sam Peebles is back this
week, which is always a good thing. Good guy Paul Slack,
Dai and Porn Coe have been stalwarts at the table all
week along with Ashley and his holidaying friend
Geoff. Wonderful Saturday last
week with Ali Greenings Birthday celebrated with
a Big Party with their Greenings, The MacDonald's and
The Wallers with Des Halls running security. F.C
Nova was in on Saturday and took over
several tables to watch the Football on Jameson's
many screens. Lets face it for the English it
was good to watch any sport rather than the Cricket.
Eoin and Shelley came in for a visit after a
Brazilian (Meal that is not Haircut). We are
now only days away from a full on Geordie Invasion led
by the Mottman himself Colin Powell with Right Arm man the Scourge.
I would not mind betting that The Root of All Evil Malcolm
Clare is as pleased as punch that Jameson's
now have a Curry Night for him to look forward
to when he comes back from India (NOT). Brian
Abbott has been his usual lead from the front self in
all departments Football. It's been nice having
Fineman's all over the place this week, Rony
himself with his family, Uncles, Son's all mucking in.
There is again a full schedule of sport this weekend, please look
up the times and events on our sports page. Kim
