More Rock
'n' Roll from Jameson's Landlord Kim Fletcher
We start
off this week's with some more photos of last week's Rock
'n' Roll Extravaganza at Nirvana Resort with the Last
Rock 'n' Roll Band. With pictures from The
Root of All Evil, Malcolm Clare. “The Last Rock 'n' Roll song by the Last Rock
'n' Roll Band, So Long, Goodbye, Tara, See You Later, and Catch
up with you at the Hammersmith Odeon and Mott the Hoople”.
Malcolm
Clare The Root of All Evil again excelled himself on
Friday, by taking on single handled the
American Navy, and the American Airforce. There was
only ever one team in it, even though Landlord Kim Fletcher,
Richard ad Maggie Waller, Des Hall joined the Americans.
We were just no match for The Root of All Evil
in full flow. The guys took it real well, but Malcolm
at a gallop is unstoppable. The Pattaya Sports Club had their Monthly
Medal Presentation at Jameson's on Friday, and what
a hoot that was all credit to the ever so hard working President
of The Pattaya Sports Club Golf Society Perry McNeeley
for organizing the whole shebang, Mike Gerrard
who is certainly the best compeer in Pattaya,
the whole thing went off very smoothly, and with much mirth
and laughter. A big Thank you from all at Jameson'sto all fromthe
Pattaya Sports Club Golf Section.
I've been meaning to say for weeks a bigThank you to Ali Greening
for teaching the Big Fat Landlord Kim Fletcher 'The
Ali March'. This involves being in a swimming pool
up to your neck in it (literally and then walking on the spot,
fabulous exercise without putting any pressure on your joints.
You do feel a bit of a nerk if somebody is watching. But Exercise
is Exercise. Graham MacDonald organized a trip last week
to go and see the Musical 'Chicago' a wonderful
day with perfect organization from Malcolm Clare
on the Taxi front. We left Pattaya at 4 in
the afternoon went to Bangkok,
had a couple of sherbets, joined up with Graham and
Jay MacDonald, Simon and Debbie Philbrook, Harpic Bryant, the
lovely Judi McNamara, and then of course there was
Malcolm and Noi Clare (Mr. and Mrs. Root of All Evil)
and the Big Fat Landlord and his good lady
wife. We saw the fabulous show, got back in the Taxi and was
home in time to watch England declare. (For
all the good it did them). Wonderful Wonderful Day.
In fact it was so good I took the next day off to reflect upon
it all.
But the best news of the week for the Landlord Kim Fletcher
was that his son Geoffrey is going to join
the Navy. All the girls love a Sailor.

Even without
the Rugby this weekend, it was a great weekend.
Sam Peebles, and Young Steve leading the way
with help from Birmingham Jimmy. Graham MacDonald
took the lead on Nova Table along with Des
Hall. Malcolm Clare was well The Root
as he always is and fantastic fun again. Sadly the Geordie
ranks are being decimated by the departure this weekend of Mottman
Colin Powell and the Scourge Alan Taylor. It has been
great fun having them around for a whole three months. But boys
I'll meet up with you at the Hammersmith Odeon for the
Mott The Hoople gigs.
This weekend there are two Six Nations games of Rugby
on Saturday night, somehow the French have
managed to hide their game against Wales on
late Friday night. Never mind there is two
good games for us on Saturday night, plus I
must admit there are a couple of Football games
that might be of interest. Fortunately this week the
Landlord's beloved Reading will not
be playing on the telly, so nerves will not be frayed that way.
C'mon Steve and the boys put a smile on The
Reading Football Club Supporters Pattaya Section, Division North,
this week. I wonder what the English Cricket team
will get up to this time? No Flintoff, No Wicket keeper (Do
not go to Ambrose and say he is a wicketkeeper)
Anyway for a full run down on the sport on the telly this weekend,
please look up our sports section.
Always good to see George and Fair Again, Paul Strachan,
Amorn and Peter Malhotra, Young Paul, Blue Derek, Cricket Geoff,
Simon, Ray, and the rest of the Youth Policy, Perry McNeeley,
Jimmy and Jenny Howard, Gregarious Greg, Denis and Lek, all
of the Bryants. Enough from me, have a good week. Kim.
The new Nova Park Hotel, built on the old Jameson's Car

actually walls now, stairs and of course a nice large Car Park

Hello Kim,
I am so pleased to see that the band Chicago got a mention in
this weeks Kim's Diary. And indeed I myself got a mention - all
in the same breath as Chicago of course, and I am not sure that
that was good or not!
However, I need to express my disappointment that there are no
Chacago albums for sale in your great cd sell-off. Does this mean
that you are keeping all the good stuff for yourself?
Regards
Ken Sly
