F.A
Cup Final Saturday 30th May
Well a whole
year has whizzed by, and here we are ready for another F.A.
Cup Final, this Saturday 30th May at 9.00 p.m.
Jameson's is without doubt one of the best places in
Pattaya to watch the game. It will be televised
on our Big Screen, all three giant 42'' Plasma Screens
and another 14 T.V's in the pub. So wherever you are
you can get a good view and watch all the action.
Last week was a fine week with wonderful visits from some of
the nicest and most amusing people Sid Silk, Ian Harrington,
Big Dave Hoyle (who still likes to be called Big
Dave, but he a mere half the man he used to be). Lars
Fieste, Geoff Evans, Frank and Frank, (Just Frank and Nobody)
John, Dai and Porn Coe, Simon Philbrook, The Bryant's Rick and
Harpic, Brian Abbott, Copper, Daren Collins of Lazi Pig fame,
Rob, The unstoppable Malcolm Clare 'The Root of All Evil', Captain
Steve Ponter, Happy Birthday to Johny Live, Ray Matti, Mark
Gorda, Young Steve, RayC, Kobi, Fineman's all.
Nova Table stumbles into Friday night with Moo getting in
on the action, Bouncer Geoff Evans (with fondest regards to
Boro Steve), Kim (Slumdog) Fletcher, and a very 'Happy Root
of All Evil' Malcolm Clare. When Malcolm is that happy you just
know he is up to something
Frank ('Nobody' as in Nobody is perfect) a tired Geoff Evans,
Kim, Dai and Porn, on their orders to 'Get Ready, Set, Go'
Paul and Aum prop up the Bar very nicely at Jameson's
Peter Malhotra takes a break
Young Steve Page and his lovely Daughter
Dai starts to think that life was easier in the Desert
Dai and John Coe share a glass or two
Eli Fineman moves into Peters Arm's
John Coe, Wayne Organoski, and Dai Coe remember the good old
days
Frosty in full flight on Friday night aided and abetted by Young
Steve, RayC, and Lola
The Gang hang out at the Bar Lady Di of Harrington, Wayne Organoski
(Blowfly), Dai and John Coe
A very welcome visit from Mr. Led Zeppelin himself Lars. Lars
then got on the phone and terrorised Simon Edmonds
Dai and Porn Coe, Dai is back to visit and is causing his normal
Mayhem around the Bar. Got word this week that Bob Davies will
be coming to stay at Nova Park, and take up a movable role at
Jameson's in Mid June. So all in all things are looking up
Peace breaks out at the Bar
The always always smiling Bjorn
Kobi, takes a move from Peter's Arms (A Pub within a Pub in
Jameson's) and his dinner
Tracy Fletcher comes to visit
It was like Jools reunited at Jameson's on Friday night with
Tommy, Big Dave, Kim, Rob, and Geoff all tucking away a few
drinks
You have got to eat, and there is no better place to do it than
Jameson's
What a very nice Jesters Care4Kids T-Shirt Paul Strachan is
wearing. Kim, Rob, and Geoff all discuss Paul's T-Shirt. Jesters
Care4Kids Charity Drive T-shirts are now for sale in Jameson's.
The Big Event is rushing up upon us. This year the Jesters Care4Kids
Charity Drive Fair will be on Sunday the 13th September, at
our favourite location the Diana Driving Range and Resort starting
at 10.00 a.m. Please remember that Jameson's is running a Used
Book, DVD and CD stall. We are currently collecting all things
for our Used but Nice Stall that will again this year be run
by Judi McNamara. If you have any items that you would like
to donate, please bring them into either Jameson's or Tahitian
Queen. It really is a good cause of Revenue for the Jesters
Care4Kids Charity Drive and it also helps the British Legion
who will have a tent right next door to ours at the Fair run
by Tropical Bert, and it also helps out the P.I.L.C as anything
that is left afterwards is passed on for a stall at The P.I.L.C
Bizarre at the Royal Cliff Hotel in October. So your old books,
DVD's and CD's can really do some good. The sooner we can get
our hands on them the better, as we can get them all sorted
out (when I say we of course I mean Judi).
Following the Fair it is the Jesters Care4Kids Party Night at
non other than Jameson's with music, dancing, comedy, the Grand
Raffle, and of course the culmination of the Auction. The Auction
is now up and running, all you have to do is click on the link
on the left hand side of this page. You might even see something
you want to bid on

beautiful,

Great having Little
Big Dave down for the weekend, starting with a fine
lunch at Bruno's then going rapidly downhill
after that with everyone trying to remember what happened the
previous evening. I have a very clear memory of 'The
Root of all Evil' keeping a very keen eye on Dave's
consumption of The Root's preferred tipple
Port. As usual Neil Sandilands
appears to have been the last one to leave the pub on most nights.
The Heineken Rugby Cup Final was well attended
by The Panthers, including Damo, Jimbo
Howard, Simon Philbrook, Eoin and Shelley Quirke, Lisa Lurve
was there in spirit, and our great mate Mickey Price
of T-shirt fame.
Sad weekend last weekend for the North East
as two of their mighty teams skidded down now we will just have
to work out how to watch the Coca-Cola Championship
next year. Let's hope for a better showing from the
British Lions and the English Cricket Team.
That is off course unless you are South African
or like Young Brian, an Ian Dickson
and are Australian (which from my limited knowledge
seems to be the more likely of choices.
It was really nice on Sunday to see our good
friend Judi McNamara with her friend Elena.
Judi is hot to trot as ever, and is Gung
Ho to get the Jameson's Care4Kids Jesters book,
DVD and CD Stall ready. So all we need is for you to
drop us off your spare Books, DVD's and CD's.
Simon Quigley one of our chief sponsors last
year is on the case. Have a good week, Kim.
A Very Happy Derek
I would guess that Root and Big Dave are up to no good, in this
photo
It's always nice to see somebody you like

Try counting the drinks on Nova Table (no wonder Mosquito Bill
told us to build it strong) sitting at the table are Brian Abbott,
Daren Collins, Burnley Simon, Little Big Dave, Kim and Dai Coe

It's Sunday night and the sports room starts getting busy for
the night of high drama. Most were coming into get good seats
with the good Doctor 'Iain Corness' for the Formula One Race
9 Most of us thought that during the Race way to much attention
to the cars going round in circles when there was clearly some
good shots to be had of the boats out in the Harbour that by
chance had some pretty stunning girls on them. You can also
see a rare T.. Screen in the background of the England Cricket
team thrashing the West Indies
Dr. Iain Corness (the nearly retired Racing Driver) arrives
and the serious Formula One stuff starts up, Iain Is accompanied
by his Right hand man peter and a Hoard of other Diesel heads
The now famous Jameson's first class Carvery with Soups, Salads,
Pies, Pasta's Special dishes, Roast Turkey, Ham, Beef, Pork
with Crackling, New Zealand Lamb, an assortment of Potato dishes,
Freshly cooked Vegetables, Deserts and all the trimmings. All
for 375 Baht as much as you can eat, or 150 Baht for the Kids
If you don't fancy the Carvery, there is also Jameson's huge
A La' Carte Menu to choose from
Derek's Mob, ho by the sounds of things had a great time on
Sunday night regardless of the sport, Derek is naturally in
the foreground with Avy and Ian, Joan and Ian and Jameson's
Pin Up girls, Derek's girlfriend Sa
Newcastle leak a goal and the whole Pub gives up abstinence,
and turns to a B52 bombing raid reminded me of when John Vinyard

than it does to eat it. Out to worry they all made good choices
The Jameson's Sports Room a great
place to watch sports especially with the F.A Cup Final coming
up this Saturday, and then in June The Cricket 20/20 World Cup
followed by the Ashes

has got this situation under control

and the Championship Play Off Final
Mark Gorda and Frank
Happy Birthday to everybody's favourite
Hairdresser Johny Live, seen here celebrating with all the staff
and friends
Dave is in his lucky place to watch
the Formula One Grand Prix
This man was here from start to finish
for the World Cup of Rugby Tens on Sunday proving the point
that in Jameson's we can show all the sports all at the same
time. On Sunday night we showed The Formula One, the entire
game of England thrashing the West Indies at Cricket (just had
to say that again), 7 different Premier League games, and the
World Cup Rugby 7's. Apart from a few Neck injuries no other
casualties reported
As the Football results start not going
our way the B52's come out. I personally blame Bjorn
Hiding the agony with great grace
Tommy and Young Steve Page. Frosty looks on from the side
RayC could be the new Newcastle
manager next year
Kim Fletcher and Jameson's thoughts
turn to the Jesters Care4Kids Charity Drive 2009
The Jesters Care4Kids Charity
Drive is coming up very quickly. Let me just remind you of the
dates for the main events on Sunday 13th September 2009 is the
Jesters Care4Kids Charity Fair at the Diana Driving Range and
Resort, which this year looks like it is going to be even bigger
and better this year than last (if that is possible). Kevin Mitch
once again stepping into the breach, and doing all the organization
in his usual brilliant military precision style. Now whilst talking
about the Fair can I also remind everybody that Jameson's amongst
other things, has a Used Book Stall at the Fair run by Judi McNamara.
The Used Book Stall is always great fun and also raises a nice
lot of money for the kids. It is simple logic. (A) You kindly
donate to us all your old used books, which can be dropped off
at Jameson's or TQ any time, the earlier the better so we can
get them sorted. (B) You come to the Fair, and then buy a lot
of good books at a cheap price, come early for the best selection.
(C) We give all the money we raise to Kevin who hands it on to
the Care4Kids Charity Drive. Easy.
The next event after the Fair is the Jesters Care4Kids Charity
Party Night at Jameson's on Saturday 19th September 2009 which
will feature Paul Jackson as our compeer, Music from Mike Gerrard,
Rick and Harpic Bryant, and to bring us all to a Rockin' close
Pop's Pattaya All Stars and assorted guests. On that night there
will also be the arrival of Eric and Robert from their marathon
Charity Bike Ride always an amazing feat of endurance, the climax
to the Raffle and the fantastic Jesters Care4Kids Charity Auction.
The Auction Site is up and running, with lots of good things up
there already, all you have to do is click on the link on the
left hand side of this page and you will be whisked into Ron Keeley
of World of Wine Auction Site, there is plenty to look at and
you might even fancy putting a bid in yourself. Plenty already
have.
There are plenty of ways of helping the Jesters Care4Kids Charity
Drive 2009, Obviously by coming to the Fair, and the Party Night,
making bids on the Auction Site, buying Raffle Tickets, buying
T-Shirts, taking a Bumper Sticker for your car, taking and reading
one of our brochures and showing them to other people (all available
at Jameson's or TQ). If you would like to know some more right
now please click on the link on the right hand side of the page
for the Jesters Care4Kids and you will go on a journey to see
all about us the website. It is regularly updated and is run by
our Chairman, Lewis (Woody) Underwood, and our Webmaster David
Smith, a very good Charity, run by some wonderful people, to help
those less fortunate than others.
Cheers,
see you at the Bar Kim
