Terry is back
Bold as brass
Terry walks back in the door on Friday,
and calmly drinks everybody under the table there maybe many that
will dispute this, but then Ray Matti started
off under the table, so Terry did have a bit
of a head start there. Terry is back to mastermind
the construction of the ultimate Rock 'n' Roll Hard Drive to put
into our computers, he is combining the music of his own hard
drive, plus the good Landlord's, Big Dave's, Matt the
Punks, and Greg Watkins, when it is finished you will
be able to play random and not hear the same song again for years.
Mind you there will be some funny songs along the way.
To welcome Terry back was almighty reception,
the aforementioned Ray Matti, (who has gone back
up to the boat to be Captain Ray again), the
real captain, Captain Steve Ponter, who is again
whipping up magic spells for the Jesters Care4Kids Charity
Drive 2008. Don't forget everybody The Jesters
Charity Drive Fair is on Sunday 14th September
starting at 10.00 a.m. Jameson's will be running a used
book stall again this year with loads of help from Judi
McNamara. So if you have any used books at home please
drop them off at Jameson's, so we can get them
all sorted out as soon as possible, it really is a great way of
making money, you give us the books, you buy them back of us,
and we give the money to the kids charity, simple but effective.
Then of course on Saturday 20th September it
is the Jesters Party Night at Jameson's with
lots of bands, comedy acts, magic acts, the climax to the grand
raffle, and the auction for an updated list of items available
in the auction please look up our Auction site
on the link at the side of this page, it has been updated with
new items from Peter and Bjarne from Cafe Kronberg.

be downing double vodka at lunch time! Lek and Dennis
Laundry people to the stars, Rob and Wit, Gap,
Johny Live (his spelling) dashing from pillar to post
all week, making people's hair look great. The ever active Jimmy
and Jenny Howard, Danny Poole, The Young Family the Bob the
Builder set, Stuart, Moo, James and Sophie, Alain.
Great to see Neville Pick again. The
Mighty Bouncing Geoff Evans, who made me a sandy Danny
tape eat your heart out Stan Elkin, a very
fleeting visit from Big Dave, Steve Graham,
and the enormous A.J keeping up the fine tradition
of the Dutch in the bar (in other words he drinks a lot). Simon
and Debbie, the dangerous talents of Graham
Macdonald, South African Jason, Judi McNamara. Kevin Fisher,
Malcolm and Christina Bowden, and John Hagan. Sid
Silk arrives this week, and will be staying at the
Nova Park, so all of you with literary questions
now is the time to bring them in.
Ian (Lady Di) Harrington on duty
The storm clouds gather with Jon Fox of Q cars in the thick
of the action with Stuart Daly, The Mighty Geoff Evans, and
A.J.
Sometimes I think we need a bigger Nova Table, but on the other
hand as Mosquito Bill once said it might be better for our healths
if we perhaps made it a little smaller!
The Boys get ready to go off to the Football
Sevens this will be the last cup of tea they will have for the
next three days
Jay Jay roars round with the Fish and
Chips
Congratulations to Peter and Bo who got married this week
Stuart, Jason and Ray Matti, plan on what they are going to
have next to drink, whatever it was it was devastating
Peter and Geoff Evans the Mighty Bouncer in the thick of the
action
This upcoming weekend
sees the annual Chris Kays Memorial Rugby Tens Tournament,
being held at Horseshoe Point on Saturday 3rd and Sunday
4th May. It's a great couple of days (and nights) out.
Plus of course a great chance to meet up with old chums. For more
details look up the link at the side of this page which also includes
a map of how to get to Horseshoe Point. But rest
assured there are plenty of things to do at Horseshoe Point
as well as eat, drink, and watch the rugby.
This event will be covered by my dear friends from the magnificent
Pattaya Mail loads of Malhotra's Peter,
Tony, and prince, Iain Corness and the wonderfully talented
Paul Strachan, and if you don't believe he is talented,
have a look at his myspace site that is linked on this page, Paul
write music, stories, articles does interviews, and makes documentaries,
then in his free time.........................
Nice to talk to Muffy Kerr by the use of e-mail
every morning, good to see Rich Wibrow doing a
sterling job looking after his mum who is over on vacation. Had
a text from Dave Foden promising a speedy return,
and for one last time I will try and pass on my e-mail address to
Linusinfo@jamesons-pattaya.com
Manoon quickly fixes the Jameson's Wi-Fi
Seen how happy the Jameson's staffs
all are now that they have the superb leadership of Young Ae
Even though Terry's arrival back was
a great surprise as you can see we were still all pleased to
see him
Wonderful day on Saturday,
with a mass of good people in during the day, Simon
came in for a haircut, and got cut instead, Johny Live,
the Mighty Geoff Evans, (a happy Bouncer now as Jameson's
has now put buffalo wings on the nibbles menu, The buffalo's
might not be very happy about it, but Geoff
is). Jason Payne soothsaying all over the table,
the Youth Policy, Paul, Ray, and Steve, Denis and Lek,
My Jimmy, Ashley and most importantly Steve
Gormley who has saved the Landlord
from further purgatory by putting in a new window behind Nova
Table, it is almost a dishonour to call it a window
it is quite magnificent and although the pictures of it are
very nice they really do not do justice to it's magnificence.
Paul Strachan and Steve automatically set up
a great rapport, as can be seen in the pictures and the video,
one cannot help but be jealous of two such talented people.
I also had the pleasure of meeting Christopher (Chris)
Parsons who is the Producer / Directo / Actor
/ Salesman / Raffle Organizer / Bottle washer / Props / ell
you get the story of the Pattaya Players Community Theatre,
who as you can see from the poster have a production coming
up very shortly, three plays in one event, a last a bit of culture
in Pattaya. Tickets are now on sale in Jameson's,
at only 300 Baht a head, a snip to see three
plays one of which has Paul Strachan in it,
I told you Paul of many talents.
Always good to see the always smiling Terry Schofield
of No Fixed Abode, and as ever amusing e-mail banter
between, Muffy, Sid Silk, Graham MacDonald, Richard
Holt,and Joe Otter.
It is a good job Ae was on hand to help Jason decide what
he wants to eat
On the sports
front, obviously the whole focus is on The Chris Kays
Memorial Pattaya Tens Rugby Tournament at Horseshoe Point.
But half an eye will have to be kept on the football situation
as well. Pattaya City Football Club have got
themselves in to right old pickle, all they had to do last week
to win the championship last week was win or draw their last
game, they contrived to lose 4-1, so the team that is in second
place has three games to go (whilst Pattaya City
have finished their season's games). And if the other teams
win all their games they will win the championship on goal difference!
So a bit nervous there, and at the other end of the spectrum
Steve and the boys who sometimes wear blue
are at the other end of the league, one point only, clear of
the dreaded bottom three, and with all the other teams muddying
the waters by winning games and other assorted tactics The
Reading Football Club Supporters Society Pattaya Divisions North,
South, and East, are also looking at the scoreboard
looking for those elusive points to drag us to safety. Come
on Steve you do not want to be relegated and lose to the
Bad Guys at golf in one season, a least you have a
chance of beating relegation, but beating the Bad Guys
will definitely not happen.
Nice also to be back in touch with my old Buddy Tricks.
Nice drinking with Debbie and Judi on Sunday,
we shall be getting dressed up to go to the Sunday matinee
on 18th May of the Pattaya Players Production of three
one act plays. Don't forget tickets are available at Jameson's.
Mike
Franklin is popping into hospital this week for a new
knee, wonderful isn't it these days it's just like going shopping.
So within a few months we will have the Franklin
back out on the links again tiring to drag that handicap down.
Heard from Big Dave Beckham during the week
he is on the way back to Thailand for a holiday
in the near future and will be celebrating his 60th
Birthday this month, naturally the big Yahoo will be
in Jameson's.
Sadly I can tell you that Tim Schkell died
last Monday and the funeral was on Thursday,
God Bless Tim, Rest In Peace, Kim
The staff in their work clothes, the
Mighty Geoff Evans in his work clothes, Ian (Lady Di) Harrington
in his work clothes and the one thing they all have in common
is that they have all got a drink in their hands, although Bam
Bam looks as though she is drinking a bunch of daffodils
Luckily for Landlord Kim, he has
Ae to lean on when the going gets tough
Wanchai the proud wearer of his
Jesters Care4Kids Platinum Sponsors shirt
The man himself Steve Gormley steps
back and admires his own handy work
Steve Gormley and Paul Strachan
have a chat on camera
Although happy to be indulging in
some nibbles, Simon, Jason and Geoff were quite put out (as
was the fat Landlord) to have to move off the table whilst the
glass was put in and interviews took place
Paul Strachan then interviewed Kim
Fletcher for the telly that will soon be making people all over
Pattaya cringe
Tracy Fletcher in her Jesters Care4Kids
Charity Drive 2008 T-shirt, don't forget Jesters Charity Drive
2008 main events this year are on Sunday 14th September, the
Fair at The Diana Driving Range and Resort, and the Party Night
at Jameson's on Saturday 20th September, where the grand auction
will reach it's earth shattering conclusion. The auction items
have been updated since last week so click on the link at the
side of the page and have a look), Nat Fletcher, Goy Fletcher
also resplendent in a Jesters Charity Drive shirt, and big Geoffrey

The triumphant return of Jameson's
warriors, Sam Peebles back from England where he had been on
a training course, which obviously did not work as he still
fails to heel on command, Birmingham Jimmy, Shaun, (part of
the Jameson's youth policy) and Paul Dobbs, back from the Songkhla
Football Tournament all battered and bruised not to mention
sun burnt to a crisp, next to him is The Jameson's Football
Captain Brian 'Sledge' Abbot who returned from the tournament
with a golden boot, or something. Anyway the team did very well,
and managed a magnificent 7th out of ten teams. We in Jameson's
call that a proper result
