Fantastic!!!
What a fantastic
couple of weeks, the way things have gone it has certainly been
good for the charities organized in Pattaya,
it's certainly been good for Pattaya, and fortunately
been marvelous for Jameson's.
As I have not really sat down at the computer for a couple of
weeks, rather a lot has happened, and I have no chance of fitting
in everything even if I could remember it all. Graham MacDonald (The Font of All Knowledge) has
as usual been at the hub of everything being on The
Jesters Care4Kids Charity Committee, The Lighthouse, Committee,
and the B.C.C.T. Committee, and an honored member of
The Nova Table Group, so a big Thank you to
Graham for all his work, drinking and sense
of merriment. Of course The Jesters Care4Kids Charity
Drive Committee have worked them selves to the bone
to yet again raise the barrier on the amount raised this year
over 7.7 Million is an amazing feat in this
time of recession. There are at least 200 people involved in
the Charity Drive so obviously impossible,
to mention them all, (and that is not including all the people
who go to the Fair, or the Party Night,
bought raffle tickets, T-Shirts, put up posters, stickers etc.
But I think it is suffice to say that Lewis (Woody)
Underwood, and his team did alright! It was great to
also see Mike Franklin and Sister Joan whizzing
about at both events. Mike Franklin turned
up at The Lighthouse Charity bash the following
week and took the microphone off Iain Corness,
as well as taking the interview away from Iain.
The Lighthouse
do itself in conjunction with The B.C.C.T. MBL, World
of Wines, and Jameson's was a fabulous night great
kudos for the guys from The Lighthouse Mark Thompson
(known to most of you as Thommo) and Kevin
Fisher (known to most of you as Kevin!),
Gave marvelous speeches, along with Ron Keeley of World
of Wines, Jack Levy of MBL, as I said Mike
Franklin and Joe Grunwell because he is just a nice
bloke, and the most colorful man in the room Jim Howard.
For all the many details of this night please look up the report
in the Pattaya Mail at www.pattayamail.com
Many thanks to the PMTV crew who have almost
been stationed at Jameson's recording the events
as they happen especially Iain Corness, Tony Malhotra,
the ever valiant camera crew, as well of course my mate Paul
Strachan who is getting married next Thursday
to the lovely Keaw, congratulations to the
pair of you.

The next big charity
event looming on the horizon is the Pattaya Ladies Bazaar
this Saturday 4th October at the Royal Cliff,
look at our events page for all the details, and you can buy
raffle tickets at the bar in Jameson's. We
also still have Jesters Charity Drive T-Shirts,
if anybody fancies anything fashionable to wear.
As well as the
Bazaar, lots of good events this week Rick
Bryant and the rest of the Von Bryant Family
will be tickled pink this Saturday, because
as well as the usual sport on the Telly there will also be the
Birmingham vs. QPRgameat 7.00 p.m. from what's
called the Championship Division of English Football,
a Division that young Steve's team seem to
be doing rather well in. Of course when it comes down to the
nitty gritty on the golf course the Good Guys
won't be so relaxed then. I am myself in training for this event,
and am armed with some marvelous Texan Golf Boots
given to me by Bob (Scar) Taylor, some rather
garish plus fours and will also be taking some of Harpic’s
wonder pickled onions with me when we next encounter each other
on the course. The Pickles, Cheese and Snacks on Wednesday
night have become a regular event, starting about 6.00
p.m. a selection of cheeses, breads, crackers snacks
are served for the customers delight. This can be very dangerous
when The Root of All Evil. Malcolm Clare is
about, but at the moment I can assure you that The Root
is firmly ensconced in Mozambique dodging Lions.
When The Root gets that gleam of Port
in his eye anything can happen. If anybody sees the
Old Boy do tell him have all the auction items safely
stored in my house including the first edition of The
Chinaman by Stephen Leather personally
signed to The Root. Also a big thanks to Peter
Bevis (Good Guy Number One) for his generous donation
on the Auction items, I will keep those items
safe too until your return Peter.

as brother David arrives in town, the arrival
of the Franks and Deano is always likely to
cause a stir. Good to see Spaghetti head and all the
Hash House Harriers guys now every week in Jameson's
for the weekly sort out. Dai Coe who has also
sadly had to be returned, Big John is back
much to the staff's delight, whilst Bob Davis
has also departed after a riotous couple of week's with his
auction items under one arm, and a tear in the eye of most of
the staff. Peter Mack has made the library
area his own as usual. Stuart, Moo, Anthony, Jimmy and

Congratulations go out to Mr. and Mrs. Neil Smith

and also to Simon Philbrook who will be celebrating
his 40th Birthday next Saturday (Again). Captain Steve Ponter has shone through as ever
this week, always willing to lend a hand or his advice. Saturday 4th October at 2.00 p.m. Sees the
Australian Rugby League Final.
Enough from me, over to Moo to sort all this
out, Kim, Rony, and Moo.
