Diary No. 220 Week of 25th May 2009
- 31st May 2009 Updated 4th June 2009
The
Beginning of the Cricket World Cup 20/20
The
World Cup Cricket 20/20 starts on Friday 5th
June, so as long as the weather holds out in England
for a couple of weeks. We should all be in for some hard and
fast Cricket to watch. And Formula
One Grand Prix this weekend on Sunday 7th June
at 6.30 p.m. for full details of all the sport this
weekend, please look up our Sports Schedule
on this page. Of course last weekend was marvelous with on Saturday
The Super 14s Rugby Final, The First Lions Game and The F.A
Cup between Everton and Chelsea all
vying for our attention.
Big
Sub-Sub-Sub-Committeemeeting was
held by some of the Jesters Care4Kids Charity Drive
nominated helpers to get things rolling for this year as the
two main events are rapidly approaching. Firstly we have the
Jesters, Care4Kids Charity Drive Fair at Diana Driving Range
and Resort on Sunday 13th September 2009 starting at 10.00 p.m.
with all the fun of the Fair. Followed by the
Party Night at the world famous Irish Pub Jameson's
on Saturday 19th September with all the fun of music,
dancing, comedy, Paul Jackson, the Grand Raffle,
and of course the Auction. Some ofthe Charity Drives Auction items
are already up on the Auction website which
you can log into by clicking the flashing logo on the side of
this site.
The meeting was well attended by the usual suspects all willing
to do their bit, in attendance was RayC, Young Steve
Page, Judi McNamara, Captain Steve Ponter, Fleming from the
Dusit, Deborah Philbrook (at least in spirit), Geordie,
Derek, Pattaya's sexiest man Paul Strachan of PMTV, our beloved
Captain of Football at Jameson's Brian Abbott, who
the next day was sending e-mails all over the world. Anyway
the results of the meeting was that we are all going to re-double
our efforts on getting in Prizes for the
Raffle and some excellent idea's came up for Auction
items. More of this as I learn about it all. Judi
McNamara is on the Thai Pattaya Forum
site building up awareness. But the one thing that the Jameson's
team is seriously short of is books for our Used
Bookstall we had a big clear out at the end of last
year as we still had books that had not been sold since 1997!!!!!!!!!!
So we thought this was a good idea, but it's a bit nerve racking
starting from scratch this year. So please if anybody has got
CD's, Books or DVD's that they no longer want,
please drop them off at either in Pattaya, TQ or Jameson's
or if in Bangkok, Tim at Jameson's on Silom Road
or with Matt and Peter at Jools on Soi 4 Sukhumvit,
all the items sold go to a very worthy cause.
Ritchie leads the TGIF Party for the Pluto group on Friday
with Ray, Susan, Sali, Phil, Dave and Graham. After a hard working
week that Heineken tastes even better on a Friday night

The prettiest girl in the whole wide world little Chloe Slack,

in Jameson's
John relaxes with the paper (English papers and magazines are
always stocked up at Jameson's)
It's not often we show bare naked flesh on the Jameson's Diary
web page. But as ever we make an exception for one of Wales's
favourite son's. Dai has always been very proud of his dress
sense, especially the fact that he often wears genuine Lascoste
shirts. Well now with this latest tattoo done whilst on a Pub
Crawl with Mosquito Bill Johnstone, Dai is now a Lacoste man
for life. The trouble is what if Lacoste now sue Dai for copyright,
they may well ask for their pound of flesh. Of cause the moral
of the story is it is dangerous to go out on the lash with Mosquito
Bill
Settling in around Nova Table on Saturday night you can see
Frank (Nobody really) Kim, the newly haircutted Johny Live,
Frank and Dai Coe
Johny Live in a usual loud shirt, with RayC popping round the
corner, Burnley Simon (sadly departed back to England for a
little while), and Shopkeeper / BlueBar / Geordie Derek are
all talking about Mottman and The Scourge
Simon Philbrook, Ray Matti, and Dai Coe discuss which channels
to put the overlapping first Lions game (what a disappointment,
that was) then the F.A. Cup, (Dennis came in and was traumatised
that some of the games were on the screens not everything on
the F.A. Cup) and then the Super 14's Final
Graham Watkins our very own Superman comes in from the downpour
that hit in on Saturday night
Simon Quigley tries to keep quiet during the Rugby, but you
can tell by just looking at him he is finding this task tremendously
hard
What and it's not even Shelley's Birthday yet as it's still
Saturday (well it must of been Shelley's Birthday somewhere
in the world by this point). It was actually Shelley's Birthday
on Sunday. But in Jameson's we just don't care, anything for
a Party
That's what Jameson's needs on a Saturday night some pretty
girls
The Library section of Jameson's is always nice for a bit of
a cuddle especially when you have got a pretty girl with you
Bjorn and Johny Live, the two winners of the loudest shirts

Pattaya Division North
Jameson's brand new and sparkly Driver, nicknamed Brake, has
been with us for two weeks now and is available 5 nights a week
to pick up customers take customers home. (Brake is a wonderful
Driver, and will drive your car back to your home if you think
that just possibly you have had too much to drink, and then
he leaves your car at your house and one of the other staff
drive's motorbike along to pick you up. Better than driving
drunk). Just give me a call if you want to be picked up, or
to make sure the Driver is here if as is often our wont to tie

These people are Rugby fans. There is no doubt about that
The Captain's Table
Rugby is the name of the game as Roger and Mark lead more Lions

serious, otherwise it's not going to be much of a series

Kim Fletcher and Jameson's thoughts
turn to the Jesters Care4Kids Charity Drive 2009
The Jesters Care4Kids Charity
Drive is coming up very quickly. Let me just remind you of the
dates for the main events on Sunday 13th September 2009 is the
Jesters Care4Kids Charity Fair at the Diana Driving Range and
Resort, which this year looks like it is going to be even bigger
and better this year than last (if that is possible). Kevin Mitch
once again stepping into the breach, and doing all the organization
in his usual brilliant military precision style. Now whilst talking
about the Fair can I also remind everybody that Jameson's amongst
other things, has a Used Book Stall at the Fair run by Judi McNamara.
The Used Book Stall is always great fun and also raises a nice
lot of money for the kids. It is simple logic. (A) You kindly
donate to us all your old used books, which can be dropped off
at Jameson's or TQ any time, the earlier the better so we can
get them sorted. (B) You come to the Fair, and then buy a lot
of good books at a cheap price, come early for the best selection.
(C) We give all the money we raise to Kevin who hands it on to
the Care4Kids Charity Drive. Easy.
The next event after the Fair is the Jesters Care4Kids Charity
Party Night at Jameson's on Saturday 19th September 2009 which
will feature Paul Jackson as our compeer, Music from Mike Gerrard,
Rick and Harpic Bryant, and to bring us all to a Rockin' close
Pop's Pattaya All Stars and assorted guests. On that night there
will also be the arrival of Eric and Robert from their marathon
Charity Bike Ride always an amazing feat of endurance, the climax
to the Raffle and the fantastic Jesters Care4Kids Charity Auction.
The Auction Site is up and running, with lots of good things up
there already, all you have to do is click on the link on the
left hand side of this page and you will be whisked into Ron Keeley
of World of Wine Auction Site, there is plenty to look at and
you might even fancy putting a bid in yourself. Plenty already
have.
There are plenty of ways of helping the Jesters Care4Kids Charity
Drive 2009, Obviously by coming to the Fair, and the Party Night,
making bids on the Auction Site, buying Raffle Tickets, buying
T-Shirts, taking a Bumper Sticker for your car, taking and reading
one of our brochures and showing them to other people (all available
at Jameson's or TQ). If you would like to know some more right
now please click on the link on the right hand side of the page
for the Jesters Care4Kids and you will go on a journey to see
all about us the website. It is regularly updated and is run by
our Chairman, Lewis (Woody) Underwood, and our Webmaster David
Smith, a very good Charity, run by some wonderful people, to help
those less fortunate than others.
Cheers,
see you at the Bar Kim
