Jesters
Care4Kids Charity Drive Fair Sunday 14th September
Well it
has galloped up on us again the Jesters Care4Kids Charity
Drive 2008, is upon us once again. The first and main
event is the Jesters Care4Kids Charity Drive 2008 Fair
at the Diana Driving Range, and Resort on Sunday 14th September,
starting at 10.00 a.m. All the fun of the Fair,
and this being our 11th year this year, Fair
will definitely be bigger, better, than ever. Lots of Jameson's
customers and friends have stalls them selves including Stuart
Young who has a double unit, Stephan Ryser
will be larking about as usual, (I wonder whether it will be
the white or blue suit this year?), Ron Keeley of World
of Wines will have a slurping stall, Bert from
Tropical Bert's will be running the British
Legion stall. Bernie Tupin will be
running the children's ever popular Raffle
this year, no doubt with the students rushing round selling
the tickets, and helping to separate the stubs. Debbie
from MBMG the biggest company in the world! (well our
little world). Will be running the Auction
display stall. For all the latest information on the Auctionsite please look up our
Auction site which is linked to this site lots
of new items have been put up over the last week, and any items
that you fancy yourself you can get a bid in on. There has been
an awful lot of action on this site over the last couple of
days, so even having a look is fun, you can of course also see
all the items on the videos on this diary, or view them at the
Fair, or most of them are now on display in
the glass cabinets in Jameson's. There really
is a lot of interesting items up for auction this year, and
items to fit every pocket even the Landlord
has had the odd bid. Then of course there is now the very famous
Used Book Stall once again being run by the
wonderful Judi McNamara. The Book Stall
is a wonderful way of collecting money for charity. If you have
any used books at home that you no longer want please bring
them into Jameson's as soon as possible, then
Judi can sort them out then at the Fair
you can pay us a visit, and buy any books that catch your eye,
and then we give all the proceeds to Big Brother Kevin
who is yet again organizing this years Fair,
and then Kevin hands it on to the kids Care4Kids
Charity Drive everybody wins. But the more books we
have the more money we can make, even a couple makes all the
difference. Roger Mart was in the pub last
weekend ladened down with bags of books for us to sell thanks
Roger. All books are welcome, children's books,
German books etc, but get to the Book Stall
early to pick up all the best books (and to stop Bob
(Scar) Taylor from buying back all the books that he
donated!). Whilst on the subject of my Texan
friend Bob another reason to look at the website
is too see the wonderful Rice picture of a Lion
that Bob donated to the Auction,
a very original and unique item.

For the first time ever at the
Jesters Care4Kids Fair at the Diana Driving Range and Resort
on Sunday 14th September Rick Bryant is organizing
a wonderful new innovation a large marquee with music, cool
zones, a Jesters bar (always a great Jesters
Care4Kids tradition all the beer is donated by various
generous people and bars and then the Jesters
make it ICE COLD, and we buy it and all the money goes to the
kids so the more you drink....... Oh you get the message) and
most importantly Pop, Pattaya's
legendary guitarist and one of the world's really nice guys
accompanied by his All Star Band, and friends
playing some nice relaxed acoustic music, whilst we sit back
and relax and drink the aforementioned beer. There will also
be an opportunity for kids to have a go on the instruments themselves
(this might not be so relaxing). Rick, Harpic, and Pop
have all sorts of surprises arranged for the day, so this sounds
like the place to hang around with your friends.
Of course there are plenty of other stalls as well, so there
is plenty of things to do.
Not much sport on the
telly this weekend. Although on Sunday 7th September
at 6.30 p.m. there is the Formula One Grand
Prix, where Dr. Iain Corness will
take up his regular perch in the sports room with the giant
Jameson's screen and the English
soundtrack. The one good thing about not much major sport this
weekend will be the opportunity for all of the British
in the pub to sit back relax, have a beer, slap each other on
the back and congratulate ourselves on now having the best One
Day Cricket side in the world, and who knows by this
time next year we maybe able to drop the One Day
bit and just say we have the best Cricket side
in the world, and yes Ian Dickson I bet you
nearly explode when you read this. For any other information
on the sports schedule on the Jameson's T.V
please look up our sports events schedule link on the side of
this page.
Rony
Fineman is back from more of his travels, and is around
and about in the pub. Another date for the diary is Dr.
Iain's Car Club's Natter, Noggin, and Nosh Evening
held in Jameson's every second Monday
of the month. So anybody who wants to chat about all things
car wise the only place to be on Monday night
is Jameson's with Dr. Iain.
Having met up with Perry McNeelythe
new Chairman of Golf for the Pattaya Sports Club, we
are going to have a bash at Jameson's on Friday 12th
September. Jameson's will be co-sponsoring
the event with my old Dream Team pal Jack
Levy of MLG, so that should be another great night
in Jameson's anyone fancying a game of golf
on Friday 12th September should contact Perry
directly at the Pattaya Sports Club
or me at Jameson's.
Always good to hear from Dai Coe, Big Dave and Dave
Foden. Last Saturday was one of the
best days this year in Jameson's with a marvelous
crowd roaring on during and after the Rugby.
Well that's enough from me this week, as Moo
needs to get the diary done. Cheers see you at the bar, Kim.
