The Best
Chris Kays Rugby Tens Tournament Ever
Well last
weekend certainly pulled all the stops. Without a shadow of
a doubt the best Chris Kays Tens ever. It was
lovely to see everybody, especially those in fancy dress that
I did not recognize, with Phill Dunn, who finally
had his hair dies it's natural colour, Rony Fineman
and family actually out at the rugby field at Horseshoe
Point, (Rony checking out the Thai
Legends who will be playing under the Nova
colours this time next year) with KC. Malcolm
Clare and Blowfly (The Root of All Evil, and
Blowfly respectively). Running the whole operation,
a wonderful job by David Vicars and his brilliant
team of Referees, Jimmy Howard and Eoin Quirke, Mickey
Price the T-Shirt Man, Graham MacDonald ‘The Font of All
Knowledge’ who worked themselves into a Frenzy,
of course the Guests of Honour Ray and Lynn Kays,
and most of all, all the teams that came and took part, and
the people who turned up to watch. Of course Fluid Asia
who supplied all the drinks played a very important part, with
there Landlord falling for 'Pure Blonde'
which is unusual for him. The girls on the scoreboard were marvelous
(they could not keep score to save their lives, but they were
still marvelous). I shall let the different links and all the
pictures tell the other stories.

The other great success story of the weekend
was the P.I.L.C's Trivia Night at the Bangkok / Pattaya
Hospital organized by Sam and Kavita,
catered by Jameson's well actually Moo,
and Wanchai, which was a howling success, and raised
75,000 Baht for Charity. Well done everybody
there. Especially The Jesters Team led by The
Ponters Steve and Bill by the knowledgeable Lewis
(Woody) Underwood. The Boxing was a bit of a disappointment to us
Hatton Supporters, but like Ricky
we had to take it on the chin although we had a good laugh in
the pub with Scott from Classroom, Nobody Frank, Just
Frank, Paul, The Youth Policy represented by Young
Steve Page, Brian Abbott, Paul Dobbs, Geordie Derek (Hello
to Mottman and the Scourge), Young Ian
(Lady Di) Harrington, Chicken Nick, Joules, Ian, Ashley, Johny
Live, Henri from Raimonland, Rick and Harpic Bryant, Dave and
Sue. Happy Birthday to Rick Bryant this weekend. 50
is the new 25 you know.
Lots of good sport on
the many Jameson's televisions this weekend,
with regular progress reports on how Reading
are getting on. (The Good Guys vs. The Bad Guys Golf
Tournament is getting further and further away).
This weekend sees, lots of sport on the T.V. again with the
Formula One Grand Prix taking pride of place on Sunday
with a starting time of 6.30 p.m. Iain Corness
will be sitting on his favourite perch with a large plate of
Carvery in front of him in the Jameson's
sports room with the giant screen and soundtrack, if you wish
to join him. Enjoys all the pictures and match reports everybody.
Have a nice week, Kim, Rony, and the lovely Moo.
Here is a picture
of my mate Keith Mulholland, who graced many Rock 'n' Roll stages,
with Nutz, Rage, and Ian Gillan among others. One of the best
Bass Players in the world,
and quite definitely one of the nicest guys. Celebrating his
60th Birthday, on stage naturally.

Kim,
Sorry for the
late reply, but I want to pass on a hearty "Thank you"
from the Argonauts of VFA-147 assigned to the USS John C. Stennis
with the US Navy. We all had a great time in Thailand and especially
at the Jameson's. You and your Staff provided a very welcome and
a most hospitable atmosphere for us all to enjoy a few tasty pints.
Also, thanks for including us in your Weekly Diary, really enjoyed
seeing the photos and remembering the good times. Since our visit
to Thailand, we have had a port call to Singapore and now looks
as we will stop in Hawaii. Hope to visit Thailand and see you
in the future, stay sincere and be safe!
Thank you,
Dano

Kim Fletcher and Jameson's thoughts
turn to the Jesters Care4Kids Charity Drive 2009
The Jesters Care4Kids Charity
Drive is coming up very quickly. Let me just remind you of the
dates for the main events on Sunday 13th September 2009 is the
Jesters Care4Kids Charity Fair at the Diana Driving Range and
Resort, which this year looks like it is going to be even bigger
and better this year than last (if that is possible). Kevin Mitch
once again stepping into the breach, and doing all the organization
in his usual brilliant military precision style. Now whilst talking
about the Fair can I also remind everybody that Jameson's amongst
other things, has a Used Book Stall at the Fair run by Judi McNamara.
The Used Book Stall is always great fun and also raises a nice
lot of money for the kids. It is simple logic. (A) You kindly
donate to us all your old used books, which can be dropped off
at Jameson's or TQ any time, the earlier the better so we can
get them sorted. (B) You come to the Fair, and then buy a lot
of good books at a cheap price, come early for the best selection.
(C) We give all the money we raise to Kevin who hands it on to
the Care4Kids Charity Drive. Easy.
The next event after the Fair is the Jesters Care4Kids Charity
Party Night at Jameson's on Saturday 19th September 2009 which
will feature Paul Jackson as our compeer, Music from Mike Gerrard,
Rick and Harpic Bryant, and to bring us all to a Rockin' close
Pop's Pattaya All Stars and assorted guests. On that night there
will also be the arrival of Eric and Robert from their marathon
Charity Bike Ride always an amazing feat of endurance, the climax
to the Raffle and the fantastic Jesters Care4Kids Charity Auction.
The Auction Site is up and running, with lots of good things up
there already, all you have to do is click on the link on the
left hand side of this page and you will be whisked into Ron Keeley
of World of Wine Auction Site, there is plenty to look at and
you might even fancy putting a bid in yourself. Plenty already
have.
There are plenty of ways of helping the Jesters Care4Kids Charity
Drive 2009, Obviously by coming to the Fair, and the Party Night,
making bids on the Auction Site, buying Raffle Tickets, buying
T-Shirts, taking a Bumper Sticker for your car, taking and reading
one of our brochures and showing them to other people (all available
at Jameson's or TQ). If you would like to know some more right
now please click on the link on the right hand side of the page
for the Jesters Care4Kids and you will go on a journey to see
all about us the website. It is regularly updated and is run by
our Chairman, Lewis (Woody) Underwood, and our Webmaster David
Smith, a very good Charity, run by some wonderful people, to help
those less fortunate than others.
Cheers,
see you at the Bar Kim
