The
Root is back
Batten down
the hatch's everybody Malcolm Clare the Root of All
Evil is back. Jameson's has been out
and bought the world's supply of port to try and keep him at
bay. It won't work but one has to try.
The new Tuesday Special of Roast Chickenwith roast potatoes, garden peas,
roast carrot and onions, got off to a good start on
Tuesday. We are only roasting of a couple of
chucks at a time, as there is nothing nicer than a freshly
roasted chicken, so there might be some minor delays,
but with our convection oven, we can cook a bird from fresh
in 35 minutes, so by the time you have had your starter we should
always be ready for you.
Loads of Rugby coming up this weekend, and
loads of fun unfortunately, I have not got loads of time to
finish a long diary. So regards to all who were in last week
and regards to all those that will be in next week, and regards
to all of you that are away. Ian (Lady Di) Harrington is always a pleasure
to see walk through the door on Friday night.
Little Johny Live is running round in even
tighter and tighter circles, had a wonderfully funny e-mail
from Brian Abbott (totally unprintable on these
pages) made even funnier by an added comment from the
Mighty Sam Peebles. Sid Silk the man
of steel will be arriving any day now, and no doubt will regale
us of stories full of daring do when he comes to ova table.
Stuart and Moo, Young Paul, Romantic Scottish Derek,
Dennis and Lek, Rob and Wit, if anybody wants a chat
with Rony make it quick as he is off to Brazil
next week. Ron and Weaw Keeley of World of
Wines are as pleasant as ever (the wine lovely too).
Nice to see referee Bruce, Jason Payne, Young Steve
has got his Dad here, so that should bring
him down to a slow simmer. Looking forward to having a weekend
with the Root of All Evil, and the
magnificent Unquenchables. Regards to Tony
and Iris, Dave Foden, Richard and Maggie, Ian and Pat Dickson,
Bubbles, Lisa Lurve, who we hope to see soon. Remember
to buy your Poppy.
