Merry Christmas Everybody

Have you noticed the older you get the quicker the year screams past to me it now just feels like a quick burst of “Auld Lang Sign” followed immediately by “Happy Birthday to You” and before you know it everybody is going “Merry Christmas” at this rate I have about five more minutes to go until it's being pushed around on a trolley. So the only thing to do is make the most of it, and as usual at Jameson's we are completely going over the top as ever.

On Saturday 22nd December, we are having an early morning (well early morning for some of us) party this one is definitely not one for the kiddies folks this is a right good booze up before 6 o’clock at night before we have to stop serving alcohol for the elections. You can see the silly prices we are serving on the posters for the Heineken and the Tiger both draught and bottled while the Carvery will be at half price all day and night (which means that at least Geoffrey from the Fletcher Family will be working!). This idea so far has met with everybody's approval, especially Geoffrey Evans, Rick Bryant, and Sam Peebles. Ian Harrington is always quick to remind everybody that it is Tiger as well as Heineken. Most importantly there will be plenty of the Heineken and Tiger girls running around in their lovely uniforms to serve you your ice cold beer. There will also be loads of Heineken and Tiger give always as well including glasses, golf balls, T-Shirts, and the odd flash. Of course it will all go wrong Rich Wibrow will arrive and suggest drinking “The World of Wine Rose”, and any memory of the day will be just a blur (Oh you know what I am talking about Iris Ritchie and Deborah Philbrook).

Then on Christmas Eve we will be having a little Rock 'n' Roll Christmas with Pop and the Pattaya All Stars, plus some various special guests including the Von Bryant Family who will no doubt bring the house down both with their singing and their comedy routine (for those of you reading the diary, may I give you a little tip. If whilst Rick is on stage doing his Tommy Cooper routine and he asks you for the time do not lend him your watch! The show will start at aprox 8 o’clock, and the Christmas buffet and Carvery on Christmas Eve will start at 6 o’clock, not closing till 11.30 p.m. so plenty of time to get lots of goodies down inside you, as well as listening to some good music and laughing at the humour.

The Payne family Nui, Leo, and Jason, it’s like watching a re-run of the good, the bad, and the ugly (never mind Jason you still have your shoes to brag about)

Due to us having to shut down at all sorts of different days due to the Elections we have had several understandable cancellations, so we still have a few spaces open for Christmas day time and night time, plus we are no longer full for Christmas Eve, to go along with these cancellations we now have a few rooms open at the Nova Park. I have never known a time like it for people not knowing what they are going to do, or where they are going to do it. I can assure you all though that the whole of Pattaya will be open for the festivities with loads of alcohol on the 24th and 25th December.
Colin Powell and side kick tattooed Alan managed to stay out of the way of the photographs this week. Graham Macdonald (The Font of all Knowledge) and Malcolm Clare (The Root of all Evil) managed some very quick power drinking last Friday before the shut down. Do not forget the Saturday Morning Heineken & Tiger Party from 12.00 – 18.00 this Saturday 22nd December. It was great to see the Hash House Harriers all in here last Monday, including a fine contingent from Malaysia all led by Fini. Ray Matti will be here for Christmas Eve & Christmas Day as is Dai Coe.
Talking of Christmas Day Sam Peebles & Young Steve (not necessary a bad person) are trying to persuade the fat old Landlord into his head shaved, leaving a festive red Mohican down the middle, now one knows that the Landlord is too fat, and too old to have a haircut like this, but if the boys can get 30,000 baht together for the Fountain of Life, then I can well see Johny Live having to get his clippers & hair dye out, if this event happens doubtless there will be photos next week, but we shall have to wait and see how deep the old charity pockets get on Christmas Day.
Happy Christmas to the McTighes, Thanks for the Christmas Beroca’s Iris & Tony and to all a very very Merry Christmas, Kim, Rony, & Moo.

Nova Table kicks into a late night frenzy with Stuart the Builder, Tom of the B.B.C, Jason Payne, Steve Graham, Terry of No Fixed Abode, and little Sophie Young

For all of you that wish to know what happened to Ricky Hatton? Now you
know he listened to Sid Silk! Sid was devastated to know that his other
hero Stephen Leather was here, whilst Sid was in Las Vegas, never mind Sid
you cannot be in two places at the same time.

Here is the Jameson’s Christmas present to the Pattaya Panthers and Panties, plus lovers of the game everywhere courtesy of Mike (Moose) Kelly.
A picture of the worlds most famous Australian David Garred paying off a bet by wearing a South African Rugby shirt for the night.
It does not seem to have stopped him enjoying himself though.

A Christmas giggle for all you cricket lovers

This is a letter sent to me by the great man himself David Gower when he was Captaining England vs. Australia in 1981 when we were taking a fearful pasting from the Australians. The Australians had already gone 0-2 up in the 5 test series, when we sent him a letter suggesting he should stop messing about and get on with it, having lulled the Aussies into a false sense of security by allowing them to go 0-2 up, we had now bet on England to win the test series 3-2, when we were 0-4 down we received this letter from David Gower it reads:

“Dear Kim & all at Jools,
Ooops – Sorry – things still not going too well this end, at least odds on a victory at the Oval must be worth taking. (The last Test)
Will transfer the official currency (champers or females) when possible.
Cheers,
David Gower.”

What a good bloke for bothering to reply when obviously things were pretty desperate at his end.
Thanks to Matt and Rung of Jools Bar, Sukhumvit Soi 4 for sending me through a copy of this letter which hangs on the Jools wall

Cheers, see you at the Bar
