Friday last week saw a brilliant party thrown by Rick Bryant for his lovely wife Harpic, the surprise was kept right up until the last possible second, and the look on Harpic's face as she walked through the door was priceless. All of Harpic's friends that were in town and could make it were there. It would be impossible to name them all as alcohol had a fair amount to play with the evening, but most Foster Wheeler people were there, and it was great to see Gethen and Jill Thomas from the valleys, Roger Mart, Graham MacDonald, Neil and Pen Sandilands, Jimmy Howard, (In between flying around the world to various sporting events). Lisa Lurve was there in spirit as was the Root of All Evil Malcolm Clare, who is actually staying at the Nova Park, this weekend so don't say you have not been warned! Ian (Lady Di) Harrington, Jan and Phil, Graham, Dennis and Lek, Rob and Wit, Jake Bryant of course, Jason and Nui Payne, Terry Schofield of North Shore Real Estate and Andy McTighe, Rich Wibrow in excellent form. Eoin and Shelley Quirke, Zorba, Darren and Tracy, Simon and Nin Quigley, Peter Malhotra, Rony Fineman, Curly Wurly, IB and Kanika of Captains Corner, Partyboy Ray Matti turned up later, Johnnie Live, Jon Fox, Ian Corness, Ken and Jacqueline. Graham (Superman) and Ung Watkins, all of Pop's Pattaya All Stars past and present, The Bastards who had been specially flown in and reformed, who then proceeded to play a fantastic set of Rock 'n' Roll which really got the party going with Simon Quigley, Neil Sandilands and Jason Payne all fantastically going down the front. Ah it was a night never to be forgotten.

There were lots of other goings on last week as well St. Patrick's Day, the final games of the Six Nations, a great Sunday afternoon part organized by Shelley Qurke, to complete off the Six Nations sweepstakes she had organized, which was cunningly won by her own husband, and the wooden spoon was snatched away from Jameson's Landlord by Graham Watkins. The beginning of the Grand Prix Formula One season of course led in Jameson's by Dr. Iain Corness.

The Cricket World Cup still goes on although with muted enthusiasm due to the tragic death of Bob Woolmer, without doubt the greatest cricket coach of all time.
Steve's boys have managed to scrape another point last week, a triumph, if Steve and Peter can just get their act together for the Good Guys to beat the Bad Guys at golf this year it would be like doing the double.

Dr. Iain Corness, Graham MacDonald (The Font of All Knowledge), Simon Philbrook, Andrew Watts, and Landlord Kim Fletcher
Amorn Malhotra has been in with his usual crowd of people. It's been nice to see Woody, Joe Otter, Tom Dragoo, Big Dave Hoyle of Jools, Darren off to the West Indies to go and view some cricket, David (Buster) Williamson, a very slimmed down Blowfly (and what's more he didn't grumble once). Steve Ponter, Ian (Lady Di) Harrington and our roving Ambassador Mark Stubbs have put in a new booster system into Jameson's to increase the power of the computer connection in Jameson's, which Peter Mewes was delighted with as he tapped away on his computer. Colin Duggan, Mark Coombes and family. Joules, Nick (a great fan of our Tuesday Chicken Special), Ian and Thewee, Patrick the Flying Frog, Lee Hunter came strolling through the door in his usual convivial mood, Motorbike Shaun, Sid Silk always makes our day every time he comes in especially when he brings the lovely Sue with him. Right that's it for this week, has a good one Kim.
