The Sid Silk and Leroy Diary
The World Cup
is rushing up upon us and Jameson's
is happy to say that we will be showing all the games come what may,
no matter what time or what the importance of the game, so look forward
to some late nights folks, the full rugby schedule is printed on this
page.
Talking of rugby, The
Jesters Fair and Part Sports Night is coming up. The
Fair as usual will be held at the Diana
Driving Range and Resort on Sunday
the 9th September starting
at 10.00 a.m. with all
the usual fun of the fair, as this is our tenth
anniversary everything will be ten times better than
it's ever been before, the stage is ready to be a complete fun filled
space, a huge beer tent for all us serious fair goers, and more stalls
than ever, a day not to be missed.
The following week is The Jesters Pub
Night of parties, auctions and perhaps most importantly
sports. The evening will kick of with some lively music, Mce'd by Paul
Jackson and Andy Francis with music coming from Mike
Gerard and Dale, plus possibly a couple of the smaller
auction items, whilst we also watch the first World
Cup Rugby game featuring New
Zealand, and the first Premiership
game, and then at 8 o'clock
we will all settle down to the serious business of watching
the Rugby World Cup game
between Wales and Australia,
with full soundtrack, there will be some frivolity at half time, after
which funnily enough we will have the second half. After which the sport
will continue on all channels, check our schedules for who is playing
who, when, and where, accompanied by more entertainment from Mike
Gerard, Dale, Rick and Harpic and Pop's Pattaya All Stars.
The auction will be completed, and the drawing of the first five prizes
in the raffle will take place. Hopefully the lucky winner of one of
the motorbikes will be there to ride his or her motorbike off into the
distance. The Jesters Party Night
is definitely not a night to be missed.
Happy Birthday
Now! Question for you guys! Whose
feet could these be in these lovely pair of booties. A small clue is
that he pulled a calve muscle getting his feet into this position

Steve Graham
holds court around Nova Table with A.J. and Terry Schofield of No Fixed
Abode paying attention
Whereas is
this photo Terry is paying no attention whatsoever to what is going
on around him whilst Simon of Philbrook proves that yet again he is
in Jameson’s having his photo taken with the short little fat
Landlord Kim Fletcher
As
glad as we all are to have Dobsy, Debbie,
The Bryant's, and Chicken Nick back, it was sad to see
The McTighes go (especially
as Andy could not take the
Cup with him). The Root of all Evil has
gone back to work, Ray Matti
has gone off to Europe,
and the Roving Ambassador
is still in Singapore, and
Geoff Evans made a fleeting
visit, kindly giving the Landlord
a complete 'frosting' as well as many other splendid DVD's.
Have a good week, Kim, Rony and Moo.
A.J. meets his hero of the square ring Sid Silk.
Sid had an unblemished record as a boxing professional of 27 fights and
27 knock outs, unfortunately Sid had to give up his boxing career as he
got fed up with being knocked out. This could not of done Sid much harm
as he has gone on in life to the Pattaya founder of the Stephen Leather
fan club, Sid has recently bought the complete works of Stephen Leather
(unsigned of course)
Ian Harrington. The Jameson's Executive,
Deputy, Junior, Assistant, Trainee, Manager makes his weekly pilgrimage,
back to his natural home, The Fat Landlord Kim Fletcher immediately grabs
the phone to alert the media of Lady Di's whereabouts, whilst Steve looks
like he has had enough of playing in this playground
Eoin Quirke has a long long loooooooooong
way to go before he can fit into this seat properly
Whilst the lovely Fiancé
of Simon Philbrook, Deborah Lightley is away sometimes Simon gets slightly
confused
Rob, Paul and Dennis celebrate around
the bar, whilst the cat is away the mice will play
Nova Table with a very determined
Terry Schofield of No Fixed Abode and Lady Di in very casual attire
Glynn and John relax with Martini's
up at the bar
The University Challenge Team from
Jameson's on a question where you can confer. Notice that The Font of
all Knowledge is staying well clear of this one
Simon proving to Debbie again that
he was in the pub and drunk on Saturday night. The stupid look on Simon's
face tells you he is drunk and Fat Landlord Kim Fletcher is wearing his
Saturday Chris Kay's Rugby Shirt (of course this could of been set up
on any day as all it would take is for Kim to change his shirt and Simon
has been drunk ever since Debbie went away. Debbie is back now, but Simon
has not changed
Sid Silk and Gary with the amount
of pictures of Sid Silk on this week’s diary we might as well call
it Sid Silk's diary
The rugby is on and the concentration
levels go up. Of course it was easy to concentrate on the Welsh game slightly
harder to concentrate on the France vs. England game that started at 2.00
a.m. later. Results of that game on a postcard please
And then they all just a little bit carried away don't they?
Jason and A.J sort out
the problems of the world. Well somebody has to care
Toy, Wanchai
and Brian
Tony has the
dubious pleasure of the company of Sid Silk in the middle of another
of his by now famous Stephen Leather stories
Paul Hartley
and Bob sit around Nova Table with great pride
Rob, Paul
and Dennis's better half's
Aha the knights
of the long table at Jameson's
Could be a
shot from the new James Bond movie the rather stupid looking baddie
with the Martini swilling James Bond, for those of you who have not
noticed it is actually Builder Stewart Young
Joe Grunwell
fights for a pleasant his beer on Nova Table, but being surrounded by
The Font of all Knowledge, The fat Landlord Kim Fletcher and the ever
present Simon Philbrook he never really stood a chance
Steve Graham and Simon Quigley prove just how
popular the Johnsmith girls have become in Jameson's
The old Beer mat flipping trick done at after
midnight after a rugby game always a good idea. Eoin and Dean are old
enough to know better, Crouchy is young enough to be better, and as
for Graham ................ well
Well Joe as the old saying
goes if you cannot beat them join them
Happiness
is getting your own seat to watch the rugby in Jameson's
Happy Birthday
Lek
Joe Grunwell finally goes
mad in one of Simon Philbrook's Vulcan death grips
Dobsy on his
first night back slightly confused. Dobsy is staying at the Nova Park,
so you can expect more photos of Dobsy getting more and more confused
as the days roll by
How nice it
must be to be young and in love
Simon Philbrook
was willing to pay me a lot of money not to print this photograph, but
the integrity of journalism has to be upheld. Taken sometime late Saturday
night or possibly late Sunday night, well actually just put down the
word late and fill in any day you want!
